My boyfriend and I went to eat here while visiting from out of town. We will absolutely be back anytime we pass by or come to grants!!!
You walk in and are immediately greeted by a very kind older gentleman who runs the entire restaurant by himself!! He is very quick to make the food and has the best customer service.
The ordering process: He hands you a menu to choose your beverages then another menu for the build your own style buffet where you choose your protein, rice, noodles, veggies, sauces etc. Then he will go an handmade your plates fresh. The very reasonable price includes icecream ( vanilla and rainbow sherbet when we went) and the salad bar, which you can serve yourself as much as you'd like.
The gentleman running it was extremely kind and very quick at making all the food we ordered. We ended up getting 2 plates each ( you will just need to tell him you'd like another plate of food) and the dumplings. The food was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. I do not know how he took such simple and fresh ingredients and made the best food!!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about him or his restaurant. Definitely go there but keep in mind if you have a large party that he serves and cooks it all himself, but it is so worth it if you can have a bit of patience...
Read moreI don’t understand all the positive reviews. We were the only people in the restaurant. By the end of the meal, we knew exactly why. Drinks: My Coke was flatter than a Florida highway. The owner’s excuse? “Our CO₂ is out, but I called the company.” Great, I’ll just wait here until Tuesday. Salad bar: A sad science experiment. Limp lettuce, a few carrot shreds, random pineapple and watermelon chunks. Only dressing was a warm bottle of ranch lounging at room temp like it was on vacation. Appetizer: Tiny egg rolls, burnt beyond recognition. Crunchy in all the wrong ways. Entrées: My “fried noodles with chicken” came with cold chicken—like straight-from-the-fridge cold. Husband’s sweet and sour rice? Sweet on name only, sour on flavor, and sourer still on portion size. Amenities: Had to hunt for our own forks. Napkins were cocktail-sized, which matched the cocktail-sized portions. We bailed and hit fast food afterwards, which felt like Michelin dining...
Read moreStopped here during a road trip for lunch and had a great experience! We were seated and had our orders taken immediately. While we waited for our meals we had access to the salad bar, which we took advantage of. Our food took a bit longer than expected to come out of the kitchen, but that’s only because the owner was waiting tables and making all the food by herself. When we received our food she sincerely apologized for the delay multiple times, despite that fact that the wait wasn’t more than 30 mins and she was also attending to other customers. The food was fantastic and well worth the wait! Our dishes were flavorful but not over salted, the shrimp was cooked well, and the vegetables were well done but not over cooked. If we are ever driving through Grants again we would make it a priority to eat here again. If you’re looking for healthful and filling food, this is the...
