Grattan Irish Pub — Restaurant in Grattan Township

We had a group of 13 people and Our waitress was Michele. Pretty basic drinks a few food orders and a round of shots. Food was served without napkins or silverware, shots took 25 minutes and weren't chilled, the burger special come with a beer and 3 didn't receive the beer included, didn't get the condiments requested, they couldn't figure out basic shot orders and claimed they had to wash glasses to make them, several couldn't get a drink when requested and there were only 4 other tables (and other servers wading on those tables). We are all regulars and easy to deal with (several have served or bartended and know how customers should be treated). One person picked up the whole bill (that was way higher than it should've been since we didn't get the beers with the burgers and extra drinks added to the bill) and felt the server sucked so he gave her 12%. The server (Michele) came back to the table and made a huge scene about her tip, treatened to call the owner and police because she should've got atleast 20%......this was the craziest thing I've ever seen. If she did a good job her tip would've been a lot more but since she sucked she should've been happy with what she got! FYI....tip at least 20% regardless of service at Grattan Bar or your server will seriously go...

We had really high hopes when we got there. It was busy, so we thought the food must be good, but we were so wrong. First off, calling it an Irish Pub is completely false. They had absolutely no Irish food on the menu. The closest thing they had was a corned beef sandwich. Second, the beers on tap were Budweiser and Miller Lite. They didn't even have Guinness. As for the food we ordered, my son got the chicken tenders off of the kids' menu for 4.99, which consisted of 2 small chicken tenders that you could tell had come from frozen package and apple sauce. We had to ask our waitress twice for a spoon, so we were all done with our meals before he even got a spoon for the apple sauce. The service was slow and very inattentive. My meal and my husband's meal were also both mediocre at best. I got the cod, and he got the burger and french fry special. The fries tasted like they came frozen out of a bag, and the burger was dry. We will definitely not...

Food is ok - pub food. Wait staff is friendly & fast. My wife and I took our 3 granddaughters for lunch a few weeks ago and had no complaints. On our way home (40 minute drive) early Wednesday evening, starving, we decided to stop based on the previous experience. The special posted in the entrance was 2 meals for $26.99 - choice of steak or pork chop & 2 sides. Sounded perfect! When we tried to order the waitress said the cook wouldn't prepare until 5:00 - it was 4:45. Since there was no start time was on the posting - we had her ask the cook if he could maybe help us out. She came back with a hard no. We ordered sandwiches instead, then asked to speak to the manager when when she came in before we left. The excuse was the absent owner leaves detailed instructions for for the staff to follow TO THE LETTER. I have a feeling the cook is running the show based on what is best for him - not the customer. Not sure...
