We stumbled into Gallagherâs for lunchâand by dinner, we were back like loyal pilgrims returning to the promised land. Thatâs how good it was.
First, the place is immaculately clean. Not just ârestaurant cleanâ, weâre talking spotless, eat-off-the-floor-if-you-had-to clean. And the food? Pure excellence from start to finish.
The mushroom burger was juicy and packed with flavor. Bobâs Pollock was unexpectedly phenomenal, crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside, and clearly made with care. The Reuben egg rolls? Genius. Whoever thought of those deserves a raise and a parade. The spicy cheese bites were fried perfection, and the French dip, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the bread-to-filling ratio was absolute sandwich nirvana. (Nothing worse than a sandwich with more bun than bite, and Gallagherâs nailed it.)
Even the beer selection felt curated, not just tossed on a menu. Every single thing felt intentional, refined, and expertly executed.
It was too cold and rainy the day we came but the outdoor patio in the back looked like a place we could just chill for hours during the summer. Hightop outdoor tables and comfortable chairs, outdoor games and string lights.
This place deserves a standing ovation. Gallagherâs doesnât just serve food, they serve joy on a plate. Weâll be talking about it long after this trip ends.
The owner even came by and chatted...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our dinner. We sat at the bar and the service was very attentive and the establishment is nicely remodeled. We both ordered burgers and they were well cooked and taste great. My only negative comment would be the pricing for the fries. We both got standard burgers of average size for $12.95 with chips. The crazy thing to me was they if you got a side of fries the up charge was $4.95! That makes it is a $18 meal. I decide to get the fries and I counted 12 of them. I suggest if you are going to charge that price to have a pile of fries or lower the cost. It left us feeling ripped...
Read moreOutstanding small Northern experience. Reminds me of the taverns and pubs of old when things were simple. No big city frills needed here. Just clean, quaint, good people, lots of laughs, excellent food and ice cold beverages. No lack of atmosphere even for its size. Great job to the owner and staff for bringing us a great place to hang out without having to run all the way to town. Glad to see the building opened up, and am super happy to have Bob and his crew part of the neighborhood!! Best wishes for a profitable and enjoyable future! Look forward to future gatherings...
