This place was terrible from the get go. Me and my boyfriend have been trying to grab a coffee and try it out for weeks. Today, a Tuesday ( I have noticed her mentioning on some reviews that she is not open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays as well as stated that it says it on google, it does not there is no posted hours on google) we drove by and looked in, we thought it was closed so we were going to drive away but she came out and waved us in. This was not a welcoming wave as the first thing I said to my boyfriend was, did she look mad? When we walked in she stated that she thought we were someone else, but she’ll make our coffee anyway. My boyfriend had trouble figuring out what to get so he had asked the owner what recommendations she had, and she replied rudely with “ I can’t pick for you it’s your drink” or something along those lines. We kept getting attitude the whole time we were there. Her pretty deaf dog was sniffing me, which I had no trouble or problems with and she kicked her dog stating that’s what you have to do because he is deaf. It was not a hard kick but it was unsettling. My boyfriend and I have never felt so belittled in a coffee shop ever. She also mentioned that she was doing something “good” on her day off, without really laughing but more with attitude. Once again, on google there is no posted hours or days. On her door sign it basically states open whenever. This owner has issues with tourists or something because on our way out (we couldn’t purchase a coffee because we did not have Venmo or cash, which we would’ve gladly gotten and came back) she had stated again that she thought we were someone else and if he (presumably my boyfriend) were a local she would’ve had him come through the back door. When we first moved here as well we went to her store to see if she was hiring (in which she would have received help from about 4 girls if she needed) and she was not because she is a independent owner. So please do not feel bad for her as she’s been offered plenty of help. We have been living here for almost a year and are locals. We are friendly and involved with most of the businesses in town and most people recognize us, how rude is it to treat someone like that even if they aren’t a local? Overall this woman has the BEST strategy to lose ALL business and earn absolutely no revenue. I will make sure to tell all my friends and family not to visit this coffee shop unless you want to be treated like you’re less than her. All the other one star comments will agree with me. Oh yeah I forgot to mention how she rudely also stated that no she’s not gonna blend the coffee she doesn’t want to today so the best we...
Read moreShare review Edit review 1.0 star rating 6/10/2016 I very rarely leave bad reviews, because I understand that even the best businessses can have an off day. And honestly when I read most negative reviews I think to myself "That person is just a whiner", but this place needs to be called out - and avoided. On a road trip with my wife and 3yo kid. I was surprized and excited to see a seemingly cool coffee shop in this sad and economically depressed little town.Their opening hours are arbitrary, fine I can understand that, and there's nothing else like this place anywhere nearby. I was in need of a good cup of coffee and a few minutes of wifi to find a hotel for that evening. So we order a couple cups of coffee, but the owner says they're out (out of coffee in a coffee shop... what?), but we can order an espresso drink. So we get a couple Americanos and sit down. Every outlet in the shop is inopertive except for the one the owner's son is using, another strike. Then she decides to close (and this is around 11am), so we go to out to our vehicle to finish our coffee, plug in our tablet, and hopefully use their wifi long enough to make a hotel reservation for the night. While waiting in our car for our tablet to charge up enough to start, the owner returns with friends but doesn't open the shop. Then the weirdest thing happens: She sees us in our car trying to use the wifi, so she unplugs her router. Mind you, this all happened within the space of a half-hour. We weren't sitting there all day trying to mooch off her wifi, we really just needed 10 minutes with a coffee, an outlet and wifi. We would have eaten there too if the experience hadn't been so weird. What we got was a crappy overpriced Americano, and the most profoundly rude business owner...
Read moreI was shocked at the rudeness of the barista. It's like she was mad at us for daring to come in and disturb her. When we walked in there was nobody behind the counter, we started looking around and saw a woman leave a back table filled with other people. We were not greeted when we came in so we were a little surprised when she made her way around the counter and just looked at us, not with a smile either, which I don't necessarily expect but definitely not the look of impatient annoyance that we received instead. I would brush this off from a teenager but not from a person mature in years. My husband broke the ice and made his order, I was still flabbergasted and on the verge of walking out. I was afraid of getting stuck with gas station coffee again since it was a Sunday morning and wasn't sure if there would be anything else open so i also ordered. My husband got a latte, he said it was OK. I ordered an americano with room...there was not enough room and she had a hard time even being civil enough to give me any cream. We left, I dumped mine before I got in the car and ended up having crappy gas station coffee anyway.
Ps. I took my empty cup with me as there were no trash...
