People who are from Colerain/Mt Airy will remember that originally Gold Top was one of two competing ice cream shops in the neighborhood. Gold Top and Eat-N-Treat. Gold Top won out due to a myriad of issues with Eat-N-Treat, but they definitely deserve the top spot for ice cream in the area. 10/10 times I would rather go here than Graeters, and even living in Wyoming/Finneytown where there's a Graeters right down the street I still don't mind making my way out to Mt Airy. They have the BEST flurry in existence. Their prices are reasonable, perhaps on the higher end if you're looking to feed a family dinner and ice cream, but they make up for it with above average quality toppings and they do not skimp on them when they're making your order. I would challenge anyone to find a better non-specialty ice cream...
