Before The Barrel Distillery — Restaurant in Greene Township

Just not good. As they tried to make this about another issue, my review was about their service.

Bernie as I was doing work for him and eventually did not pay his final bill, he is not a good bartender. I sat at the bar with an empty drink for a while and when he finally came over to get it, before I could ask for another, he simply took the empty and walked away. He was not busy and was just talking with the other bartender not paying attention to his customers.

So nice try on the come back but no you just are not good at service. And you live in the building and exit through the kitchen space. Seems very...

We were heading home from Cooperstown and found Before The Barrel Distillery through Harvest Hosts — and it turned out to be a one-of-a-kind find. Bernie, the owner, is a passionate man of his craft. His knowledge, care, and pride in what he creates are immediately clear, and he made us feel right at home during our visit. The tasting experience was personal, laid-back, and truly memorable. Stopped in tonight for a couple drinks. The Campfire Mule was my favorite. Tons of variety. Very laid back atmosphere and nice place to sit and have a drink with friends. Also thought it was cool we were able to order pizza from a nearby pizza place and they waived the delivery fee. Altogether a fun place...
