Took me a while to decide what type of review I wanted to leave. I will first start with what us locals know it as the pizza shop. I know that Claysburg Pizza has been around for about 50 years in our community. Personally, I have only ever tried the pizza since I am a picky eater. I find the pizza fantastic, and yes as you see in other reviews some times they are having off days with size of slices or wait times. I personally believe wait times have gone up due to the fact that they have a daily Facebook special that you can get. You should see some of the drive-thru lines I have sat through just to get the deal of the day because the deal is that good. Follow them on Facebook to find the next deal of the day. I will now point you to their website. A few things I will point out is that they do fundraisers. I cannot comment on the quality of food from the fundraisers as I have not had it. The next thing to point out is they have the Take and Bake (I believe they are called), pizzas in over 85 stores. There is a Google map with a pin, for all the locations. In more recent years, I know there is now a Claysburg Pizza food truck. Have not ordered anything from there to know what the menu is, but I believe stromboli's are one item. The last thing I will mention is the car wash next door to the pizza shop. In the last few years, that have became a part of the Everwash app, where you can buy a certain level and get unlimited daily car washes. I had this for about a year, but I was only able to go monthly, so it did not make financial sense for me to keep it. Overall, I think Claysburg Pizza is a fantastic business, with an amazing owner, who loves to give back to his community. I can't wait until I get my health issues straightened out and I can enjoy pizza once again, because I think this is going to be...
Read moreI ordered ham strombolis from a fund raiser for my neice. Needless to say these were the worst strombolis I had ever had!! To tell you the truth I ate 2 bites and threw the rest in the garbage. Waste of my money!! The instructions on the box told us to cook for 19 mins on 450º, we took them out of the oven and the inside of the strombolis were still raw! We cooked for an additional 15 minutes and the stromboli was burnt on the outside and the middle was still raw!?? I wouldn't even give this a 1 star to be honest and if these strombolis are this horrible, I would even be ashamed to sell these for a fund raiser! I called the company and the guy asked me what kind of oven we had like it was ovens fault lol. Told me that they would give me a refund but we would have to pick them up. Do u realize I live 1 1/2 hrs away?? Do u think I would drive that far for horrible strombolis!? Um no!! Do not order these and not to mention the ham on the inside of the strombolis looked like I don't know what, I probably wouldn't even feed it...
Read moreThis is my hometown's pizza shop. Everything on their menu is super tasty and VERY fairly priced. For such a small town shop, in a backwoodsy/rural area of PA, they have an unbelievably diet-restriction-friendly menu. They were one of the first pizza places I heard about to offer gluten free options. This is a big thing for me, a person who doesn't consume gluten, and they have been doing it since before any of the major chains or other local pizza places offered it. They have a "gluten free" crust option as well as a "cauliflower" crust option and they're both really good. Although, I prefer the cauliflower crust, personally. Thank you so much, Claysburg Pizza, for having these options. It means a lot to...
