4/919 I have been dining here for years, but after tonight I will never return. The flounder my mother got had bones and showed it to the waitess ,she had partially eaten it ,less than half . The waitress asked if she wanted anything else ,and she said no ,not now. The waitress then spoke to the manager/cashier , the waitress told us that we would need to talk to the cashier when we paid . The bus boy came and took all our plates . When asked the cashier about the fish, she was rude and said there was very little of the fish left . ( she never came to our table and looked at what was not eaten, clearly going on what the waitress said to her ) I spoke up and said that was not true,The cashier then left to go in the back of the restaurant to look at the plates that were already taken back there ,returned with a nasty attitude and still said most was eaten. Why didn't she come to the table after the waitress told her what was happening instead of waiting afterward the plates were removed ?? She clearly had made her mind up before hand. We were embarrased and treated like liars ,if trying to get something for free . Never once apolozied. She never offers even a couple dollars off the bill .We had also returned over cooked baked potatoes with rotten spots . I called and spoke to the same person, cashier, After we left ,got no where ,spoke to Deano, the owner ,super nice he offered a free meal. I explained it wasn't so much the fish with bones, I understand you can't control that, but it was how rudely we were treated ,and blindly decided we were liars . I have enjoyed eating there and order the flounder almost every time ,but because of the rudeness and embarrassing situation we will not return. We have even had Birthday dinners there in the past. If I could take our tip back . So long Olympic, there are plenty more places to eat and be treated...
Read moreCame here on our way through Greensboro hoping for a good ole Greek Diner. We were sorely disappointed. And the place was mostly empty because it was after the lunch rush. There was one waitress, an older woman who was moving slowly to say the least. We both Ordered fried chicken sandwiches with fries and a side of brown gravy. The chicken was over breaded and over fried and the fries were cold. So the chicken was hard to eat because it was too thick and cooked too long. The side of brown gravy didn’t come out with the meal. We sat there waiting for her to come back so we could ask for a new batch of fries. Meanwhile, the owner (? Some very tan dude with lots of tattoos) never left the register and some other female employee. Then our waitress brought the gravy which ended up sitting there getting cold while waiting for a new batch of fries. The gravy was pretty good and so were the fries. We picked at our sandwiches and asked for the check. When she came back to the table to clear our plates you could clearly see that we didn’t really “eat” our sandwiches. And she said said oh y’all fill up on fires? To which we responded with no the chicken was kinda inedible. And she just walked away. ???? Clearly doesn’t give a dam about the customer or the product or the restaurant. The place was mostly clean. No need to come back and no I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s a shame too because we need a pit stop between where we live...
Read moreThe food was excellent and the service was very fast.. However...I was with a friend whom I had not seen in about 15 years and, prior to ordering, we were chatting away. The waitress was exceptionally pushy, literally coming by about every 3 minutes for our oder. We tried explaining that we had not looked at the menu when, for a 6th time, she came by trying to get the order before she went on a "cigarette break". I told her to just go and take her break. Somehow we acquired another waitress who was more laid back and not as pushy. The food was excellent; large portions; fairly priced. Then we had to go cash out. Oh, my. The cashier was beyond rude. Never acknowledged either one of us. My friend asked about leaving a tip and was at first ignored then, when he asked again, was cut to ribbons by her tongue. At that point, a man whom I presume was the manager (no clue. No ID also no eye contact or acknowledgement) stormed up to the register and started complaining to the cashier that an employee (by the context of the conversation, I assume it was a cook) was drunk and had messed up 4 orders. Great for customers to hear. The 2 just continued to ignore us while discussing how to deal with this employee. One and done...
