Sherman's @ South Main Restaurant — Restaurant in Greenville

This place is definitely overpriced, the food is bland and microwaved. The microwave deal doesn't surprise me at all after seeing the episode when chef Ramsey visited this location. I remember he got rid of all microwaves but those are back. We stopped to dine in and took a glance in the kitchen - there it was (microwaves) in every direction. Nonetheless, the owner (wife) is pretty rude specially if you complain to her about the food quality.

Let me refresh the owners memory since she wants to claim this review is fake. I visited your restaurant a few occasions with my family. We ordered a few different items from the menu such as:" reheated braised short ribs"/super dry smoked chicken/soggy bacon chicken wrap, and hardened chicken tenders. You should definitely remember me as I personally brought it to your attention that the smoke chicken was extremely dry, you literally came to the table and snatched the plate from my hand. There was absolutely no attempt to apologize for the poor quality of the food. Nonetheless, I gave you a second chance and revisited your restaurant but this time I ordered braised short rib with mashed potatoes & veggies. Upon receiving that plate I already knew it wasn't going to be good. The mashed potatoes were bland/watery and soaked in wine and the "braised short rib"/carrots were cold as if it was taken out the fridge and placed in the microwave. I brought it up to the waitress attention and she said that's how the plate is supposed to be. I paid $25 + tax for reheated "braised short rib"with watery potatoes and some cold carrots. To clear things up I have a life & a business to run so trust me I have no extra time to waste writing fake reviews. If something is good I'll be the first to admit it but if it ain't good I will also be the first to complain. You seriously need to work on your attitude and really appreciate customer feedback not just say it for your convenience. People go there to spend money therefore, they deserve quality food not reheated nor poor quality. Ladies/gentleman If you are able to tell difference between fresh food vs reheated food go somewhere else otherwise you will be disappointed. My family and I ate here recently and had a decent eating experience except for the strange behavior of our server. We ordered a steak, chicken fried chicken and veal cutlet with appropriate sides. We all sampled each other's food and agreed the food was delicious-I just felt that my cutlet was too chewy. Our server rarely interacted with us and kept rushing off after taking our orders. We had not even eaten for 13 minutes before she brought us the bill. Huh? That was so strange. Did not offer dessert or refills or ask if the food was okay. Literally stuck the bill in my face as I was putting food in my mouth. We paid the bill, though we should have said we are still eating and we will pay when we are done, like normal guests. What redeemed this review was the second server who came to take our plates 15 minutes later. She offered us dessert after we had already paid the bill, actually smiled at us and interacted with our table. I absolutely love love love this place! 🤩🤩This was my first time going to this location, as the last time I've been to Sherman's it was in a different location and Gordon Ramsay hadn't came through yet and did a Terminator on the front door LOL.🤣

I was in town for Memorial Day weekend and had lunch there with my best friend . The food was wonderful! 💕The front of the house staff and my waitress was SO Southern and SO full of hospitality!🌷🌷 That Southern Charm just cannot be beat! That is very important when you come in to get service! I miss that! The catfish was cooked to Perfection as only the Mississippi Delta cook's can do! ❤💯I will definitely be making this the first spot on my list to go back to when I return home!
