Spectators Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Greenwich Township

Myself along with a group of friends have been coming to spectators for a few months now, we love the wings, but tonight things were different. Our waitress, Alyssa/Aly Z was absolutely the most inconsiderate and rude waitress we’ve ever had. Not only did she tell us that we needed to “wait” when we were simply trying to ask her a question (and put a finger in our faces) but she also tried to steal a tip off of our bills. Literally writing that there was a “18% service charge” because she "knew we weren’t going to tip her." If you are rude and snotty to your customers, unfortunately they're probably not going to tip you.. I've had some bad waitresses that I've still left at least 15-18% for, but myself along with the others in my group wholeheartedly felt as though she did not deserve a tip due to the way she treated us the entire time we were there. It also took over an hour for our food to even come out, as she was paying attention to other tables, completely skipping over us, and ignoring us when we tried to ask her anything. We ALL tip at restaurants, myself and my friends included always tip waitstaff AT LEAST 20% for good service if not more. I myself am a waitress and this is the first time I’ve never not wanted to tip, I gave her exact change knowing that she would try something like this. One of our orders was placed entirely wrong, and when asked to fix it instead of apologizing and fixing the mistake, she said “I heard this as _” and rolled her eyes at us (once again) and moped about having to fix the order. Alyssa also ignored us multiple times, rolled her eyes when we asked for water, and ignored our table blatantly when we clearly needed assistance. We were afraid to even ask this girl for water. My friends and I absolutely love the great food at spectators, I would give that a 5 no problem but in regards to this server (Alyssa Z) in particular I would give her a zero if I could on this review. Additionally, this girl also did not have her hair pulled back (as servers are supposed to) and the table next to us found a long blonde hair in their salad!! I’m not one to typically write google reviews, in fact this is the first time I’ve ever reviewed anything on google period, I personally hate complaining but the management NEEDS to see this, we asked to speak with a manager and was told they were conveniently enough not around. The amount of blatant disrespect and animosity and LITERAL THEFT we received in regards to Alyssa Z this evening is enough to make us not want to come back or bring any friends here despite spectators and their (mostly) friendly service and...

Update - once a month Spectators serves breakfast on a Sunday morning. This morning was perfect timing since I don't cook, and we had overnight guests. There was a fun drink menu offered, but the young woman in our party announced her pregnancy the night before, so we ordered OJs. The food menu had a nice selection of various breakfast options, and we all found something to order. Our server let us know that the biscuits and gravy were appetizer-size, but it was the perfect size. I also ordered French toast wings, and while they were large and well-cooked, I'm not much of a syrup person, so I wasn't impressed. The others ordered eggs, bacon, tots, and pancakes, a breakfast burrito, and a cheesesteak burrito. And just like a Christmas miracle, everyone enjoyed their food! My picky husband raved about the breakfast burrito and exclaimed that we'd be coming back for the next breakfast!

Hats off to Bri and her staff for helping my family pull off my husband's surprise party! Even though they were hosting a fundraiser and live music, they accommodated our party of 15 in the garage bar, and made certain that the room was warm enough for the old folks! Our server, Marissa, was very attentive, taking orders for appetizers and dinner, and delivered them correctly. Everyone enjoyed the food, one commenting that he'd move here just for the burger. We have come here several times but after this last visit this weekend we won’t be back. It took an hour to get our food which the place had 4 people in it. Then when the food finally came out my 9 yr old daughter’s food wasn’t right. They took it back and another 30 minutes went by until they brought out her food. At this point we were done eating and she had to eat our food or she wouldn’t have had any dinner. When our waitress brought it out she said do you want to box it up right away? So we boxed it up and were charged full price for her food she couldn’t eat because they messed up. When the bill was questioned the waitress said she couldn’t do anything about and there wasn’t a manager to talk to. Then a lady claiming to be the owner came over and was extremely rude basically saying we ordered wrong and had to pay full price for the meal that was their mistake.
