LauraMaes Smoked BBQ — Restaurant in Greenwood Township

Just pulled up 20 mins ago friend rants and raves. Very inconvenient that it sells out quicky. There must’ve only been scrapes for choices for it being 1:50 in the afternoon. I trusted my gut and went with ham and cheese quesadilla. Not impressed, wish I would’ve been warned the ham had a sweet taste to it. Didn’t even finish my first bite spit it out!!! Too sweet for me. I don’t foresee myself coming here cause they sell out which is ridiculous. Any other bbq “outposts” like these I’ve been too Like Son of a Butcher and Southern BBQ and Ice Cream have never ran out! Very disappointing and have given you two better...

This is a simple BBQ place on the side of the road with a good lineup of smoked meats and sides. The pulled pork is tender, a bit smokey, with a light seasoning besides the awesome pork flavor. The pulled chicken is a bit more seasoned and very consistently shredded. There were three sauces on the side to choose from. The baked beans are one of the best I've had with a bit of the pulled pork already in them. The mac n cheese has a nice medium firmness to the pasta and a delightful cheddar blend mixed in. For the quality and quantity and value, this is one of the best hidden gems...

If you are looking for a great meal check this little shack out . Had the steak sandwich, the steak was perfectly smoked, the meat was supper tender , I got it with cheese and sautaued onions , I highly recommend the mushrooms, they are a meal all in there own . They have a few picnic tables the location along the Juniata River is very scenic...
