Had breakfast with my wife and two kids that go to Gould a local boarding school. Hoped to find a regular spot for us to stop in every few weeks when we visit. They have tables but you order at the register, no service. After you place the order, you pay and it wants to know the amount of tip you want to leave, 15, 20 25%...I left a good tip as usual, she said see would bring your order to the table when it was ready. She did, but that was it, have to clear your own table, what? So the scrambled eggs were brown, home fries greasy, and the biscuits and gravy inedible...this place should be ashamed of themselves. They do not care, never checked how our food was, and when we asked what to do with our dirty dishes, she said put it in the bus bucket...never again! Lesson, never leave a tip prior to service, it is like hiring someone, then interviewing them...big fail on me and them! Avoid...

I have run a successful coffee shop in ft Lauderdale FL. To say I'm picky about my espresso is an understatement. I usually don't get coffee on vacation due to my usual disappointment... I stopped into this little place years ago in my anual trip to Maine. I usually visit friends in Bethel so I go right by.....as usual the espresso was excellent I didn't get food this time but I have and it was nice.... I told the lady who served me and she said she would pass the compliment on to the roaster. And I agree the roaster is doing a great job, but that's half the battle. You the lady who unfortunately I forgot her name is clearly an excellent barrista. Pics included. If you want to know if you've got a great espresso look at the second Pic. That was five minutes after serving and still...crema' Love and...

Follow me on Google! I have over 2.5 million views! Just left the hub, got a brownie and a "funky monkey" smoothie...brownie was tasty and moist, icing was not cheaply made. Funky monkey was thick even though it was made with almond milk, which is pretty impressive. The cashier at the counter with the glasses and beanie(not sure if I got their name) was really kind to me and super explanatory about what I was purchasing, excellent service(and awesome tattoos). The atmosphere is like home town coffee shop style(they have coffee as well), dim lighting, no in-your-face upselling from the cashier. Perfect for a snowy mountain morning. Menus are on the counter if you're in line, and they have more seating than you would imagine off to the left side of the counter as well. Good for a solo stop or with family....

We were not super impressed. We ordered a smoothie, egg sandwiches, and a side of hash browns. The smoothie was a watery consistency and the side of hash browns was a very small portion. Prices seemed a bit high for what you got. Service was a little all over the place. They were busy so that may have contributed to it. But we had to go up and remind them about our smoothies. The food was was tasty but they need a little more organization and a revamp on prices.
