Mini Jalisco Drive Thru — Restaurant in Gregory

This is a tiny, family run restaurant in Gregory that is very popular with the early morning crowd. Their tacos are made to order, made with love, and made with generous portions and pretty decent prices. Their breakfast burritos are also made to order and made with love, but you better have a big appetite to eat that thing! I definitely recommend the burrito San Jose, but be aware the queso is going to get on you, because there is A LOT. (Also made with love.) I would not trade the staff for anything in the world! They are friendly, fast, and super great at what they do. I look forward to my morning tacos before work! I was looking for some good Mexican lunch tacos. This place was not it. First of all to my preferences the flour tortilla were really thick. Tortillas are meant to be thin. The flavor tastes as if they are store bought tortillas. The carne guisada chunks in my taco were a little too big of chunks as if they didn’t even take their time to chop it up. Also the serving of it was not much of how big they were. The taste of it was missing salt. As for the barbacoa it was definitely missing flavor. So I’ve decided to give this place another shot. It seems like the food has significantly improved, but that doesn’t do a whole lot of good when y’all close at 2pm every day making it nearly impossible for me to even make it by here.
