A Truly Exceptional Experience!

I had the pleasure of visiting my favorite restaurant recently, and I just had to take a moment to highlight the outstanding service I received from Yuleika, Not only is she a master behind the bar, but her attention to detail and friendly demeanor made the evening even more memorable.

Her Cosmopolitan and espresso Martini is simply perfection! Every sip is balanced and refreshing, with just the right amount of sweetness and a crisp finish. It’s the best I’ve ever had, and she makes it with such precision—it’s clear she knows her craft inside and out.

As always, I paired my cosmopolitan with the restaurant’s incredible arugula salad. The fresh, vibrant flavors complement each other beautifully, and it’s quickly become my go-to dish.

The combination of Yuleika’s top-tier bartending skills and the delicious menu items makes me wanting to come back. I’ll definitely be back again soon for more great drinks and that irresistible salad!

Disappointing. I'll start positive. Service was good. But this ain't no Octagon, the previous name. My sea bass in bouliabaise was not. It was in a mild fra diablo sauce Didn't taste fresh and was a tiny portion. The brick chicken was also tiny portion served on a small plate to make it look large. Extremely overpriced for what claims to be high end elegant dining, but is no better than low end cafeteria hotel dining. I normally don't review like this but I have to tell the truth. One other note our busboy was more professional and well dressed than the sloppy looking waiter In a nutshell. We won't return. And that reflects badly on Marriott as well when considering a return visit. We looked forward to an elegant Octagon level dining experience and we got no where near that. Also, Shout Out to our bus person Caesar for the exceptional polite and professional bus service. Water glasses always refilled and plates cleared quickly. But overall, Like I said....

My husband and I decided to take a 4 day mid-winter break at the Mystic Marriott Hotel and Spa. We were warmly welcomed at the hotel Friday evening, and after unpacking we wandered down to the Helmsman Restaurant. It happened to be Valentines Day, and the restaurant was humming. Even though we did not have a reservation, Aalyah found a table for us and thus began a most delightful comfortable weekend. The meals at the Helmsman are well thought out and perfectly executed. Whether we had a dinner of appetizers or chose an entree from the menu, we were never disappointed. The entire Helmsman staff treated us as family.
