Riverside Pizza — Restaurant in Groveland

Should've known to cancel order when I called because delivery was over 20+ minutes late from their estimated delivery time. Called said they were shorthanded. No problem I said but just not gonna get cold food. Said no it was just coming out but delivery from that point still took another 30 minutes. Not worried about time but food was not up to snuff. Asked for slightly well done pizza got see pics. Got a meatball sub and made it LG for extra and see pics below to see what it looks like. Sub was flattened like a pancake and hardly any meatballs and the ones they did put on it looked sliced in thirds to cover more area. The fries were coldish and soggy from time it took from cooked till delivery I assume. Mozzarella sticks had a couple were the cheese had completely emptied and the ones that had cheese in them were not cheesy as the cheese started to re harden. Last item a roast beef sandwich I was texted by my mom never get her one there again. Said it was too salty and had a lot of fat. Gave to dogs to eat. Used to be my go to place but I can't justify spending $63 on that quality of food. Understaffed I understand taking longer but quality of food is no bueno. Btw the meatball sandwich is not edited that's the amount of meat there was and the pics even zoomed in can't find the meatballs. Tried to see how many actual meatballs were used and if 2 I might be over estimating. 2 meatballs for an $11 LG sub. Don't slice the meatballs up is my suggestion and put in sub whole. This place has lost me from here on out. Ps~ Thanks for your reply (owner) it validates my experience on this day and I appreciate that. Ya those meatballs were extremely thin so that makes sense those are the ones used on pizzas. To be honest I didn't even take one bite out of the meatball as it would've been like eating sauce covered bread. Not sure how to give you my address privately as making the order again is very generous and I'd love to give you another chance. Like I said Riverside has always been my go to. I had no issues with how long it took but when the quality was as you see I had to say something. Thanks for seeing my side. Never got a replacement order so I go to Nick's now in West Newbury. So far so good especially...

We order from here often. It’s our pizza place. The pizza is terrific,..I love the crust especially. My only complaint is they are a bit skimpy on the cheese. Also, I am a salad lover ...but their salads are not great. Too small for the price....Very blah. Like a grandmas salads. They only use iceberg lettuce. No spring leafy green lettuces. And a big hunk of cold flavorless tomato w/ very few thin onions & carrot slivers. I usually have to pick up my salad from Nicks down the street from riverside. Nicks salads are huge and really really great. But the pizza here is better than nicks. I wish they’d offer better bigger salads then we’d have one solid place to order from instead of having to order from two places...

Good food, decent prices and good people. Every now and then I have work near-by and will stop here for lunch. There pizza isn't bad and I've only had a few subs from them but all.ive tried have been good. I will say tho, their BLT sub is amazing. Toasted just right, stuffed with CRISPY bacon (not that soggy/chewy kind) light mayo and the right amount of salt and pepper, it is really good. Highly recommend trying one on a hot day when u need something light and filling. Anyways, i have not been disappointed in anything I have had there so far, and the staff has always been awesome so I'm sure would quickly take care of you if something wasn't to your liking....
