Ok so this is a classic story of being taken advantage of and getting duped. Myself, my husband, and our friend decided to try this place while in Puerto Rico. The night before planning to go I checked their Instagram page and it said you can only order ahead and provided a number to text your order to. Fair enough. The menu we found online was basically just pork by the pound and sides, blood sausage by the pound. We texted and got a quick response which was great. We asked for 4 pounds of pork, and in the text we said “a whole side of rib.” When we got there, we noticed other people sitting around being served good pork, like the ribs. We get brought a tray with an assortment of all the stuff nobody wants. When we asked our server for the ribs we asked for he replied “oh you didn’t specify” when in fact we did. We specifically asked for a whole side of ribs. The meat we got was tough, no sauce, etc. The rice and beans were delicious but we didn’t go here to spend $130 on rice and beans. We left super unsatisfied. We actually threw our leftover pork away as soon as we walked out. So if you go, make sure you specify you want actual good meat and not the stuff no one wants. The sad thing is is that we did say ribs, but we got nothing of the sort. Not a good way to do business and I will 100% not recommend this place to anyone I know going to PR for this reason. We had much better bbq in Rincón, much better food basically everywhere else we went but this was the most expensive. Save a trip and just go somewhere else. Our waiter was nice, the rice and beans were good,...

I went there to celebrate my older brother's birthday. It was a weird experience for me, you pass right through the middle of what they would call a kitchen. You can see pig heads around and a few meat cuts waiting to be cooked. My issue with this is how did they pass a health inspection? I can see so many things going wrong with that.

Besides that glaring issue, the food was ok. Ironically i didn't like the pork, it lacked seasoning and taste now the pastelillos and rice were really good! That i enjoyed. But it's not a good sign considering their thing is pork. They also made morillas. I think it's gross the thought of pig guts with blood. Tried it, it was good. Never try again, cant stomach it lol.

The best thing they have is the service they were kind, fun and service driven.

At the end the cost was about 500 for 20 people to eat like there's...

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!! IT IS A MUST TRY!!!!! I came on a Sunday about 45 minutes before they closed. They said they only had lechón and arroz & gandules. I was a little heartbroken because I wanted to try the pastel. They then told me that they had one pastel left. Out of all of the 36 states I have been to in the USA and territories. This has got to be the best pork I’ve ever tried. The skin was so crispy, the pernil and pork belly was so juicy, moist, and flavorful. The people were great, they were some of the friendliest I’ve encounter. I selectively eat pork (maybe 2-3x a year), and I am going out of my way to come and try the rest of their menu again in the...

Highlight of the trip to Puerto Rico! I learned about this place when I saw Anthony Bourdain visited in the TV show, and it was incredible. Suggestion is to order ahead as the place may run out of food. When you arrive you can specify which parts you enjoy the most. You can also walk around, take pictures of the whole spit-roasted pigs, and enjoy the scenery. It's all about eating here. When I visited, there were only a few other locals eating and no music or parties. They also have a bar with rum and beers for sale.
