I would have loved to give a great review. But my handicap was judged by the manager, who cut me off after 1 drink - they could’ve made a lot of money off of me. I have eye drops I need medically and so I had done that, not that that should be your establishments business AT all. I ordered my 2nd drink since I was choking on a pretzel and wasn’t even given water, so after enough time, I walked up and asked “is this my drink?” Which must have been stepping over my boundaries because next thing I know? I’m cut off. I have never EVER in my life been cut off. They created some story that I was falling asleep at the bar in the 30 seconds it took for me to ask and get my drink on the counter. I was also with my sons Cub Scout den leader, of whom testified I had been completely lucid the entire time. I am FURIOUS. And right before that humiliating accusation, since it was my first time there, I had decided wow! A place in town I’ll start bringing my friends to, love the vibe!
By the way, not that I was drunk considering I was allowed one drink, aren’t bars …… for the purpose of getting drunk? And taking an Uber home or having a designated driver? Honestly if I wasn’t so busy, I’d sue for discrimination against my handicap. I have a severe eye issue and to tell me I’m cut off because I’m what? Drunk? Is the most humiliating and worst discrimination I have encountered.
And I’d like to hear my accusers face to face on whomever the manager said the “several witnesses” were that I was falling asleep, oh in the 30 seconds it took for me to grab my drink. That was a load of BS, total lies, and they know it, but we’re covering their own behinds.
I’ll be writing a letter to the owner and visiting...
Read moreBad customer service! I had an extremely frustrating experience last week with Anthony's takeout. At 3:30pm, I placed (and paid for) an online order of 3 stuffed breads to take to an event that started at 6pm. I showed up at the time I designated on the order form (5:30) and was told (very rudely, I might add) that they cancelled the order at 5pm because they don't do same day stuffed bread orders. As if I'm supposed to know that--I was, after all, able to order and pay. They took no responsibility--blaming the company that facilitates their online order process. In fact, the woman behind the cash register and the chef argued with me, as if it was my fault. She even said their regular customers knew. Well, I was a first time customer and that will be my last time there. As a small business owner, I know and appreciate the value of taking care of customers. They did nothing. Thank goodness Carpanzano's down the road had a case full of stuffed breads. Of course I was late to my event because I had to make another stop and take the time to heat up the breads...Honestly, if they had treated me better, I would not be writing this review, but their attitude towards me as a customer was...
Read moreBoy do these people know how to cook. We stopped here for the first time ever so we tried a few different things on the menu. We always like to order a pizza when trying a new Italian restaurant and it was excellent. Words can't describe the delicious calzone we had. The calzone we ordered had sausage in it . The crust of the calzone was thin and crispy and the filling was just the right amount of ricotta and mozzarella, perfectly balanced and sausage in every bite. Their sausage is homemade and out of this world. I also order the shrimp florentine. The shrimp were delicately fried with I think an egg batter coating that was light and very tasty and the sauce and spinach was perfect. Good size portion and even better the next day. Last but not least, the pepperoni bread. Well, I've had many different stuffed breads from numerous restaurants but this one tops them all. Again, perfect balance of meat and cheese, crispy thin crust and delicious ingredients. If you haven't stopped here to grab dinner for your family then you are missing out on excellent quality food. My tastebuds don't lie so give Anthony's of...
