I went with 2 friends. I had seen the videos and pictures from Instagram and thought the place and the food would be incredible. We arrived 30-35 minutes before the restaurant opened. One female host greeted us as we were turning the car looking for a spot, and notified that the place was still closed, it would be open after 11:30 am. Ok, we were not in a hurry, the place is far up into the country side of Gurabo, we just wanted to take some pictures, stretch our legs from the drive and wait. A few minutes later a male employee arrived to the restaurant and again warned us the place was closed until 11:30 am. That we couldn’t go closer to the entrance or try to enter. We were close to the car, far from the actual entrance to the restaurant We agreed with a smile and waited close to the car. Again the guy seemed bothered by our presence and came to asking if we had a reservation, that they worked only with reservations so as we say in PR, “la tercera es la vencida”, 3rd warning was just ridiculous and we felt so annoyed and disrespected that we moved out of the place. El Rancho Original in Guavate was a much friendlier and fun place to eat and listen to music. Great food and hospitality. Casa de Campo Vista Verde was a total disappointment and I would not recommend it or...

Our meal began with a strong start. The Tortitas de Malanga and Croquetas de Bacalao were both well-executed, flavorful, and set high expectations for the evening.

For entrées, the Fricasé de Ternera was paired with white long-grain rice, which lacked the characteristic Puerto Rican flavor one might anticipate. In contrast, the Risotto de Carne Ahumada stood out as the highlight of the night — rich, smoky, and easily the best dish on the table.

Desserts were less consistent. The Flan de Queso had pleasant flavor but an uneven texture, while the Tres Leches was serviceable yet unremarkable. Service slowed considerably toward the end of the meal, with both coffee and Sambuca taking longer than expected to arrive.

Overall, while the kitchen shows moments of excellence, particularly in the appetizers and risotto, the dining experience was diminished by pacing issues and pricing that felt above average for the location and style of cuisine. A mixed experience with noteworthy highlights, but lacking the refinement needed to...

Horrible customer service. Management need to improve and owners need to educate the current manager how to treat customers. Also, how to manage objections respectfully, in a kindly and objective manner. During my visit they looked as if they had economic problems in their desire to wrongly charge more expensively for a dish that we could not even consume because it was not prepared as requested. Needed to show my account with more than 10k balance to let them know that the problem was the waitress miss comunication and the manager disrespectful attitude not the food price.

The food, view and service was amazing. This is a hidden gem. Make sure you have reservations. If you don't will will try and accommodate you. The level of service here is probably the best I've experienced in a VERY long time. I gladly tipped 35% The food is classic puertorican cuisine with a nice twist. The view is perfect and the vibe too. Will definitely be back!

Volveremos!
