13 Grill — Restaurant in Haleyville

This place is a joke and people that work there are very rude And when you ask for places to sit They give it to someone else. You go to order it’s like hurry up and wait. And seems like every time you leave the price keeps going up And pretty much really once you sit down to eat It’s like they pretty much hurry up and push you out the door This place needs a remodel And as much as they make on you and push you out the doors They should have enough money to fix the place up. A couple of the waitress are nice but you have to ask for say coffee water And others including the owners are definitely rude and like I say every time you leave there the prices go up and up and up they don’t remain the same. I for one go in there sometimes and it’s like the atmosphere is like what are you doing here? I mean, I may be overstepping my ground, but I don’t know what how other people feel about going in there. I mean, it’s like they have their regulars coming there. You know when you go in there and sit down in and they pay more attention to their regulars. You know it’s like I could care less about you. You have some there that kind of stare at you like what are you doing here? Again you know it’s like you get an uneasy feeling like you’ve done something wrong or something. I don’t know there needs to be another family places or somewhere to go with a better and Friendlier Atmosphere. They have a wide variety of things from frog legs shrimp oysters crab cakes to steaks chicken and pork items and a menu.

We ordered mostly the catfish in order to try it the frog legs to see how they were and my wife had a the seafood platter. I also ordered the loaded baked potato with chicken just to see what it was like and coleslaw as a side and onion rings.

And like most places the catfish fillets are not farm raised in the US. But they were cooked nicely not overdone.

The frog legs had no pun smells so they were evidently raised in a clean environment My wife said they were little in a small side but they were okay.

She did however enjoy the fried oysters and small crab cakes and she did comment that the hush puppies were rather nice and homemade.

It is a very cafeish environment and very a homie place for people to sit and eat. Not necessarily expensive or reasonably priced for consistent food.

I did order the mayonnaise coleslaw and found a slight amount of mayonnaise on it that had to be seeked out for people who liked...

I’m not the type to complain about hometown restaurants and I believe in supporting local businesses owners but after the experience I had today at 13 grill I will not be back granted they were busy when me and my family got there but after being seated are server never once checked on us we waited over an hour and half for food and people that came in after us had done ate and left when telling the owner about the problem she wants to argue with you and wanted to have an attitude.
