While on our way home from vacation, we stopped overnight in Hamburg, Iowa. After unpacking our overnight bag at the local Hamburg Inn, we decided to grab a bite to eat. Since the Blue Moon was the only restaurant in town we decided we would eat there. Much to our surprise, the small town of Hamburg didn't need another restaurant, because the Blue Moon had it all! Walking in the door of the very neat and clean establishment, we were greeted with a smile. Everything about our meal was enjoyable. We had a cold beer and some onion rings to start. Our food was freshly made and came out quickly. It was a very good meal, start to finish. We especially enjoyed meeting a local corn farmer and chatting with him about his crops, as he helped himself to a bag of freshly popped (locally grown- probably his own) popcorn.
