TL/DR - Nice place to stop for good food at a good price with very friendly staff! Dining room side and a bar side. Took a ride on a nice day up to Brandford, PA (Zippo museum) up 219. This was a great place to stop, Sheetz is across the street, and this gem of a place is there too!!! only complaint - the parking lot is mostly gravel which isn't always the best for motorcycles. The food here was good - home cooking type of meals - nothing too fancy, nothing that would make a food magazine, but very good and reasonably priced. All the staff here were very friendly too. There is the restaurant side of the house and there is a bar side too, depending on what type of experience you want. Bar side has some tables, a pool table, and of course chairs at the bar. For this adventure, we sat in the Restaurant side. I ordered the host roast beef sammich with beer battered onion rings, and the BF ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fresh cut fries. Everything came out exactly as we ordered it, and everything tasted great!! The walls are decorated with local treasures from oil memorabilia, Roail Road stuff and Kinzua bridge.

Absolutely the perfect stop for the passer-by! Wasnt sure what to expect but reviews were good so we decided to stop. Surrounding tables had meals that looked delicious. I usually only order steaks at steakhouses but I was really craving med-rare protein LOL! So I thought I'd take a chance and ordered the 12oz Ribeye. Well, it looked beautiful and to my surprised taste buds, it was seasoned and prepared perfectly!😍 My husband ordered the hot turkey sandwich, which had chunky pieces of turkey with the gravy...Not imitation slices! Servers were polite. Atmosphere was pleasant. Save room for dessert...at least share a slice of homemade pie! A few always on menu, but there are some daily surprises...peanut butter pie, apple crisp, sundaes, but today was our lucky day...we got to try the Maple Bourbon Peach Pie 😍😍😍🤗🤗🤗 Hands down the Best Pie Ever!!

From my own personal experience it wasn't to good. We had a group of 5. We got some appetizers, and drinks to start. I waited 15 minutes for a drink refill, because our waitress was waiting on men at the bar left and right. The plates from our appetizers were never cleared from the table, we had to start stacking them on another table, because their was no room when our main course came. The fish, tasted like dirty fry oil. The shrimp was somehow still fantastic.. The shicken tenders were great! The lettuce for the taco salad was slimy, almost like it had been heated up in the microwave. Just overall not a good experience.

My son and i were greeted by a waitress who tossed wrapped silverware and menus in front of us and walked away...not Evan asking if we would like drinks. Upon returning she asked if we were ready to order...I asked what the specials were and she didn't even know., She had to go look. I asked if the turkey was roasted there and she said yes so I ordered an appetizer and the hot turkey sandwich and my son just wasn't ready to order so she just looked at him and said "well what do you want to drink then?". We ordered drinks and she walked away. 10 min later she returned to take the rest of our order. She had to search for our order ticket because "we weren't ready earlier so I've lost it" ! Wow. My son ordered the chicken parmesan, at that point I realized she hasn't even bothered to put our appetizer order in and neglected to give my son a straw for his fountain soda. After somewhat of a wait we received our appetizer which was pretty good. Then my side salad came out... literally a bowl of lettuce w one tomato wedge and a slice of white bread that had been cut up and deep fried to resemble what I believe to be croutons...I know they were deep fried due to the shirveled up overcooked greasy french fry that accompanied them. By this time we were worried about the main course! My turkey sandwich was indeed fresh roasted turkey, but the gravy was very basic, not even a fleck of pepper or a flake or parsley, and the mashed potatoes were cold. My son's chicken parmesan was overcooked and dry, garlic toast was beyond toast...it was garlic bricks. Lastly the parmesan cheese shaker was ABSOLUTELY GROSS, the cap was sticky with drops of some amber colored goo and when I removed it the inside was rusty and there was black debris in the cheese!!!! With all of this we decided to leave. I left $10.00 to cover the appetizer and drinks but I can guarantee I will not be returning to this establishment and I won't be recommending it to...

Be ready to wait 1 hour for your orders to get to you. We’ve been on the road from Texas on a road trip vacation. I was looking forward to eating here because of the reviews, but I am truly disappointed on how long it took to get our simple orders. No exaggeration but it literally took 1 hour and 5 minutes for kids chicken tenders, BLT, a burger and pastrami sandwich to get done and served. I’ve been craving for pastrami and got excited that they make it, but wow what bummer because it didn’t even have a lot of meat in the sandwich! Another crazy thing is that bread and butter literally was served a minute before our meals came out and that’s supposed to be given while you wait for your food. Waitress didn’t even come by to check on us for refills or napkins! They are quick to bring the check, but not to serve.

Customer service gets a zero on this one, food gets a 2.5 (fries were made burnt and unseasoned!) and pastrami sandwich came with less pastrami. Atmosphere would’ve been ok if I didn’t feel uncomfortable being there (is it because I’m Asian? Hmmm)

As a traveler, a foodie and a travel advisor, I am afraid to recommend this place to my clients of all race. And if I do mention this place, I’ll make sure to have them request another server and not the one we had tonight with attitude and poor customer service skills. Adding in to racist vibe, we heard the 2 servers talking bad (gossiping!) about customers from other table…imagine what they say to each other about YOU! (My 7 year old son repeated what they were saying too!) So...

We were camping at High Pines RV Park in Lantzs Corners. I saw this restaurant on my way to check into the park. We ate there today. What a great place to eat !!! I was so pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness. The cool decor . We get the menu and I was stunned at the pricing!!!! Very good. Not high at all. Right now wings are $14 a dozen in a lot of places. $10.99 there !!! We ordered a dozen mild wings. They were absolutely delicious !!! Big in size and cooked really well. I got the Chicken Alfredo. It came with 2 slices of Texas style garlic toast and a salad. It was pretty large in portion size. The chicken piece was cooked nicely. Tender and juicy. I was stuffed to the gills...lol My husband got the fried fish dinner with a baked potato and salad. Again , great portion size. The fish was nice and golden . Hung off the plate. And the potato was cooked right and humungus ! Our waitress was terrific. She was on the ball. $10.99 for 1 dozen of wings with blue cheese $10.99 for the fish dinner $10.99 for the Chicken Alfredo $2.99 a beverage but bottomless. I absolutely enjoyed everything about The Barrel House. You won't leave there hungry. We will be...
