I had been going to the old tasty freeze for over 20 years but since the last time it was sold and has a new name. The ice cream is still Perry's but now the portions are not near as large nor is it as cheap, but with inflation nothing is anymore. Still order one size smaller than you would normally because they are bigger than you get anywhere else. There is no longer inside seating nor is a restroom available for use. Still a very pleasant treat after stopping by the Kinzua Bridge State Park.

Tom Haberberger and Mickey Freer, owners of Lick N Sip, have done a tremendous job of opening with fresh and new ideas that will surely keep customers coming back. Tom told me today about some new things he would like to incorporate into the business for the community. I believe the Mount Jewett locals are blessed to have Tom and Mickey as well as many other that are working hard for a bonded and supporting community.

Our family stopped here after a day of adventure and hiking the Kinzua Bridge. We stopped at the MT Jewett Tastee Freeze for ice cream. The small cup of ice cream was massive. Plus, the ice cream tasted great! Highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area.

This restaurant is a quaint roadside stop that serves ice cream and burgers. It's a popular stop for travelers and locals alike and a busy one at that.

I don't pick on restaurants for being busy. I pick on them for being understaffed, which it is. As 20+ people lined up for their order to be taken, the two poor individuals working there frantically prepare food and ice cream as wait times get longer and longer. 2/5 for service and not due to the employees

Aside from that. The prices are fair/high. The portions are smaller and the food is about what you'd expect, about 4/5

All in all, I'd stop in if you find a time where it isn't busy. If not, there's plenty of diners to get a decent...

Service in a timely manner is not found at this location. Usually Covid makes business faster given the social distancing, non interior dine, and less customers. Even with minimal staffing required by the state, a business should run smooth and fast with a proper management team. It’s a holiday weekend, you should have fast trained people able to provide food in a timely manner and be staffed for a rush of customers. Younger workers are great for building skills and powerful teams but is unable to work properly without proper management. This is not a governmental problem, rather a...
