I walked in with my wife and daughter for breakfast. You have to wait to be seated, but after 5 minutes of not being greeted, we decided to sit at the counter on stools, which usually doesn't need a greeter to direct you to for seating. The visibly frustrated older woman behind the counter who hadn't bothered to turn around to greet us told us that we couldn't sit there. She said, "look at the sign, you need to wait to be seated", in a very rude tone without even bothering to look at us. She said to a co-worker, "these people are trying to sit at the counter, do you have time for them", to which my wife chimed in, "we can sit at a table if that is easier". The woman, still not looking at us, frustratedly put her hands to her ears as if she was blocking us out, and said "I can figure this out without you". We decided to walk out due to our treatment and drove 5 minutes away to a place called Ober Easy on Rte 111 who treated us very friendly and sat us in less than a minute. Ober Easy had excellent food as well. Will never go back to The English Muffin again so I will never know how good their food...
Read moreHeard a lot about this place finally stopped in for breakfast. I have to say I was very unhappy with it overall. Our server was really nice and efficient. However the food was, let's say, below par. Ordered egg over medium and it came out with the white raw. Also banana filled crepe that tasted like a thick raw tortilla. I don't think they know how to make crepes there. My omelet was meat lovers and granted meat can be salty, but mine was like living in a salt mine for a while. Grits had to be right out of a box, tasteless and undercooked. Pancakes were decent but not fantastic. I asked for water in the beginning and it was the worst. Metallic pipe tasting. Hard to swallow literally and figuratively. Oh and our table was sticky upon being seated. Not worth trying again, sorry. Too grossed out. 2 stars only for...
Read moreOk so we came here after doing a walk through at a wedding venue and being referred by one of the girls there. There was a short wait as it was Sunday afternoon, but they got us right in this teeny little place! I will say the omelet and toast and tater tots and muffin were pretty good! Our server didn’t introduce herself but she was very fast to get our food out and took our orders accurately. For the little bit of room these girls had to work with they were hustling and bustling! I took one star off because it’s the dingy diner experience that I don’t necessarily love. Like grungy salt and pepper shakers and ketchup bottles. Silverware was a little suspect. And it is cramped in there. But food and...
