What a paramount disappointment. My wife and I went to the Orchard Grille and were told there would be a 10 minute wait. The entire dining room was empty and there were several open tables on the patio. We sat there for 30 minutes and ended up walking out.

While we were waiting, one of the waitstaff came up to us and said, "I'll be seating you soon" and proceeded to complete someone's drink order, without seating us. She came back several minutes later, said the same thing again and then went and grabbed someone's food and brought it to them while we were sitting there waiting. That's when we walked out.

While we were waiting, we were sitting in front of the bar and I went to ask one of the servers (who was ringing in someone's check at the bar cash register) if we could get a drink while we were waiting. He completely ignored me and walked away before I could even say a word...he didn't even make eye contact with me, as I was standing there, directly in front of him.

While we were waiting, 5 people (no exaggeration) who were dining on the patio came into the bar to order drinks because the service on the patio was so slow and pathetic...several customers even came in to ask for their check, because the server was obviously too slow and not paying attention to their customers.

Save yourself the frustration...drive 2 miles down the road to Smuttynose Brewing Company where your business will be appreciated. You'll be seated immediately, treated with respect and you won't deal with waitstaff who act like you're irritating them by attempting to spend your money at their restaurant...that's what we did after we walked out of the Orchard Grille...trust me, the difference in customer experience was night and day and I'm glad we decided to leave. I don't know how this place stays in business.

To the Orchard Grille team...when things get busy and you're overwhelmed, it's not hard to pay attention to people who are waiting, acknowledge them with a positive attitude and treat them with dignity and respect. Without loyal customers, you...

My family recently booked a brunch for 11 people right at 10 AM, it was not terribly busy when we were there. The waiter we had was phenomenal but when the food came, we were all quite unsure what had happened. All of our food was mostly cold and hard hash brown potatoes; a few plates got sent back and were still not hot upon return. I think something may have been going on with the staff in the kitchen, I also ate my cold meal and did not send it back...so I dealt with the card I was dealt because I actually felt bad for the waiter. My mother-in-law had lunch there weeks prior and said everything was phenomenal, and my sister-in-law has been there before without issue, but both agreed they would never do brunch again. We were slightly sad about this because this was for a 50th birthday, so it felt a little unfortunate that this was the experience we gave our sister. The wait staff was apologetic for sure but a restaurant manager never came around to talk about it either. We felt a little left to the dogs when we walked off quietly like the experience did not matter. It was what it was....we proceeded to shop in the market, which was wonderful. We also bought cider donuts off the truck, but they were cold too and not freshly warm like we always got them in the past. Believe me, this may sound obnoxious of us because I keep mentioning cold items...but it seemed like a trend that day, but the donuts were always hot/warm when served fresh, another thing that makes them so great. I truly want to give you more stars and a better review in all honesty but hopeful this was an off day for you but...

Today 10/6/24 I went around 10 am . Was planning to have a nice breakfast before going apple picking. My husband and I with are two young kids. We go to the host to hear they aren’t seating anyone. First is was due to being short staff ( all tables were open) so I said I don’t mind having a longer wait we traveled far and didn’t want to have to load back up in car. So then she proceeded to say as another reason was “we have just so many reservations booked” , I asked you have the resturant booked out for right now at this time? Or just a lot of reservations for the day? She said “for the whole day” but right at this time it was dead with two or three tables seated. We have gone here more than a hand full of times with no issues. Food is amazing. But today we were really upset that we were denied a table after traveling. We tried to make reservation but they turned off the website and on the Facebook page had no information about not seating. The phones were also not being picked up. I wouldn’t have gone with my two young kids to be told we can’t sit to eat. We had to load up the car and travel 20 min to another family friendly restaurant before even being able to go apple picking. This is the busiest time of the year, I think this should have been handled differently and more professional. Sincerely a very...

Sunday’s brunch at the Orchard Grille was a delightful experience. Sitting under an umbrella on the stone terrace, we listened to the Dan Walker Band as we savored a Firecracker Mary and a goblet of Chardonnay, trying to finalize our menu choices against a vast offering of mouth-watering selections. Settled on a traditional Eggs Benedict and ‘The Irish’, EB on home-made corn beef hash nestled on a bed of grilled corn bread. Both were enjoyed. The servers and staff were warm and welcoming. They were all having a good day, catering to our needs. At an adjoining table, the Breakfast Tacos and the Texas Toast & Pancakes looked good. We didn’t want to leave for home so we mellowed over another glass of J. Lohr, gazing at the rolling hills and orchards. A short distance away is a fenced pen with goats to pet. Reasonable prices, great food, great staff make The Orchard Grille a winner. It was a wonderful 2-1/2 hours and we’ll return again and try dinner.

So glad to try the new restaurant located at AppleCrest Farm Orchards!! It’s a farm fresh experience with a varied reasonably priced menu with a little something for everyone. We had a lovely starter house salad with homemade Italian dressing and hearty tasteful chicken tortilla soup. Then we shared some small dishes for our maim meal, the stuffed meatballs and gnocchi mac n cheese. They have other choices such as burgers fried chicken baked haddock pizza. The service was good and atmosphere is farm cozy family friendly wood ceilings and stone fireplace. You can also do your shopping at the farm store afterwards.

Such a cute place with great food! We happened upon this place while apple picking, and were pleasantly surprised- the food is delish, the menu has a lot of great options, and there's outdoor seating overlooking the orchard. My favorite was the pulled pork sandwich and the apple cider sangria, perfect for a seasonal lunch! The harvest pizza and the meatloaf sandwich were also pretty great. We came in for lunch on a weekend and there was no wait. My only complaint was how cold it was inside, I kept my coat on while eating to stay warm. Other than that, the service was kind and prompt, and we had a great meal!
