I was surprised for a small town bar; people weren't more friendly. Two of my friends, my husband , and I walked in, and you would have thought they'd seen ghosts. Not a word from anyone, not even the bartender. She didn't even say hello or greet us in any way until we walked up to order drinks. Went downstairs to play pool & had to find the light switch ourselves as it was pitch black. Once we got the first light on, a patron had to come find the lights for above the table. It's very clear they don't clean down there often. Trash on the floor, used chapstick, and we even found an EATEN off chicken wing bone on top of one of the speakers. It's a nice place, but they need to pay more attention to cleaning & their guests.

Excellent Food with kind staff. Took the twins, and got several great plates of food. I got a roast beef sandwich served open face with gravy, while the wife got a half steak sub. The roast and steak are house roasted and carved, and use the drippings to make the gravy. The fries are served 3 ways: shoestring (think McDonald's), hand cut (medium cut but fresh) and wedges (steak fries). Also got the crab chips and dip. The chips are fresh cut potatoes with old bay and the dip is similar to sawmill gravy with chunks of lump crab in it.

Recently remodeled and renovated. Best watering hole in Hancock. Good food, cold beer and the ballgame to watch on big screen TV's. Friendly staff who'll offer daily food and drink specials. Just a place for a thirsty and/or hungry cyclist can quench their thirst and satisfy an hungry appetite .

While the guy was friendly that took my order, when I got the order - I went ahead and left. I ordered to go. I got home getting ready to eat some really good food by what I read. I opened the bag and almost had a heart attack! Three measly piece of battered fish, a bunch of fries - which I didn't mind that since there were not a lot of selections to choose from on sides.

They tasted ok - but for almost $15.00 dollars - I should have received at least 5 pieces of fish - being as small as they were. And they included ONE container of tartar sauce! Needless to say - I will not be going back until they fixed their portions or prices! When I was looking at the online menu - I was looking for the meal that was almost half the price of what I received. The taste is the only thing that is saving my rating not being lower! The taste saved it to being a two star. If any restaurant wants a four or five star rating from me - they better be getting better quality of their food. I have worked in the food industry for many years. I know what is a good deal. With people needing money and every once in a while spend some to get a decent meal - dont go and rip people off with very small portions. I must have had the lunch portion instead of the dinner portion! If I didn't live so far, I would have taken that food back to the restaurant and demanded my money back - I have done...

One of the waittresses was nice, and my boyfriend liked his steak. Those are the only pros. Cons? 1. They are understaffed, 2. The food is overpriced 3. When a southerner asks for Old Bay you dont give them a tEAspoon, lord. 4. Crab dip was more like new england chowder soup. Dear manager: a crab dip should be thick and meaty, darker, seasoned, and herbed. Check Chesapeake Grill for some suggestions. 5. Silent as HECK. My boyfriend and I had to whisper all night, and this place was a bar? And i mean its not like it was empty, there were ppl but everyone was silent. I could hear someone across the room drop a pin. 6. They forgot to give us utensils and ketchup. 7. The (quiet) music was very West Virginia. (I guess thats subjective pro or con) 8. The chicken was bland 9. Fries werent...
