The food was nicely presented. Excuse my pictures, we were hungry and I forgot to take pictures until after we started eating 😅 Dined in, the waitress, I believe her name was Helen was very friendly and helpful. It was not crowded when we went despite being around dinner time. The hot foods were all hot and the cold foods were all cold. The place was really clean looking. They had nice cultural background music playing. The 4 stars was only because of my preferences on taste. The hummus was good but the pita bread is really thin so it tastes different than your typical pita bread. We both prefer regular pita bread. The falafel are not balls but the odd shape things in my 2nd picture. They too are different than traditional falafel not just in appearance but in taste. It makes me think of a hushpuppy combined with a falafel. We both agree they were good but different. They dolma ( stuffed grape leaves) are pretty unique as well. Most places serve them cold. They serve them hot. These are still the typical lemon base, but maybe a little lighter on the lemon and a bit thinner. I prefer the lemon based ones cold. I've had hot ones with a tomato base and then hot are pretty good. But he said he actually liked them hot better than cold. We shared a 3 meat plate. I forgot to get a picture of it but it was nicely presented. It has a large scoop of rice. It was pretty bland ( most rice is ) but he REALLY liked their hot sauce on it! It came with a salad next to it. It has a dressing on it with likely lemon juice and oil. It's a little strong on the lemon juice. I puckered up a bit. It is a similar taste to tabbouli minus the bulgur and it has lettuce in it. The meats are chicken kabob, beef ( or chicken) shwarma and ketfa ( though it may be called something else on their menu). Everything was moist, not dried out. It has some unique seasoning, though, especially in the shwarma. They have coke, diet coke and sprite in cans to drink. Everything was fresh and the waitress was friendly but most things are different than typical middle eastern restaurant's foods. Unfortunately for me, that's not a good thing for many of the items. He liked everything except for the pita bread though. The location is not great- the mini mall is pretty deserted and the place can't be seen from the road -so I didn't even know it was there. This is likely contributing to it not having many people.

as usual my Tuesday tour to try new family owned restaurants, i have selected Amy’s Kebab located at 520 S Bartlett Rd, Streamwood, IL 60107 i have picked the 3 way dish which comes in kafta beef and chicken kabab and a choice between chicken or beef shawarma i have selected the chicken shawarma. and the order did come with a rice and salad and tahini and hot sauce, now to review the order the kafta was delicious and soft cooked to perfection the way i like it the chicken kabab was delicious and tender and juices are coming out from it the shawarma was okay but did not enjoy the seasoning nether the hot sauce. the greeting girl was so much helpful and smiling all the time but she need to know that when a customer asks for no French fries nether bread it means he is requesting no carbs dish. the restaurant is clean and the restrooms are clean spotless. love my order i will be coming again for next time

What an absolutely unexpected delight! I was hidden gem hunting for local hole in the walls and Amy's could not have fit the bill any better! Hands down some of the best Mediterranean I've had the pleasure of tasting in a very long while. We decided to go deep and wide with share plates. I'm not a huge hummus guy, but it was some of the best I've ever had. The 5 Meat platter was out of this world and the falafel was to die for. We were slightly bummed that they no longer have tabbouleh on the menu but quickly forgot all about that once we tried literally everything else. I don't view this as a downside, but we were the only patrons to dine in our whole visit, but the kitchen kept busy with take out and delivery orders. Unassuming name, and not a location that will usher in a big walk-in business, but I can't wait to go back and will definitely bring some friends to share this gem with.

They had the absolute best kebabs that I've ever had! I just went here yesterday with a friend. She had heard some good reviews, so we decided to try it out. I'm the type who is always down to try new local food. I have to say my expectations were blown out of the water. Together we had, the falafel appetizer, salad, two "3 Way Mix Grilled Meats" (Kefta Kebab, Chicken Shawarma, Beef Shawarma), Baba Ghanough, and Hummus. We definitely ordered more than we could handle. That being said everything... and I mean everything was delicious. Personally, I'd recommend the Kefta Kebab and the Baba Ghanough. Those two items were my favorite. I can't say they were the star of the show, because all the food was so flavorful. Along with fantastic food, their customer service was warm and welcoming. We were greeted with a big smile and some small talk. As my friend and I had our meal, the owner and the host checked on us to make sure everything was to our liking. We finished as much as we could and took our left overs to-go. This place is definitely going to be a place I will regular. If you are on the fence about trying this place out, I urge you to take a chance. You won't be...

I've been living in Streamwood for about 6 months now and have been trying to figure out where the good, cozy little middle eastern restaurant is. I am so glad I found it so close to home (literally!).

My girlfriend and I each got a chicken schwarma plate. I additionally ordered hummus and 6 pcs of falafel because I love having all of these flavors blended in my meal. We ordered takeout, and the meal came to about $48. That seemed a little high...until I saw the portions. It's right on the money. The food smelled wonderful before we even opened the containers. Wonderful. I was so excited. Then we popped open the schwarma plates and the portions were incredibly generous. The was no skimping on ANYTHING. We ate until we were stuffed because it was delicious, and have 1-2 more meals worth of leftovers in the fridge now. I am very excited for that today!

I'd also like to note that the people running the restaurant are INCREDIBLY nice! You feel like you're talking to new friends there. I love it. 10/10 will be going...
