Decided to give this place another shot last week. The lady owner, was working there, of course, and she wasn't quite as rude as last time... She was bartending this time. She is abrasive and not the kind of person that should be working in an establishment like this that serves the public. I imagine a bar is tough to run.... dealing with the public is no fun sometimes... but there are other places around that give you much better treatment.
The food is good... I can't take that away from them. But, that's about all the place has going for it right now. The prices are a little higher than average and the atmosphere is trash. If the place changes ownership... or this lady disassociates herself.... It probably will get a lot better.
This will be the last chance this place gets from me. There's a place across the road called Kramer's that has craft beers and mouse trap down the road, but that is cash only.
ORIGINAL REVIEW Seemed like a decent enough place. However, there is one thorn that ruined the experience. The bartender whose name was philamain.... or however you spell it. She was extremely rude, impatient and quite frankly extremely unpleasant to be around. When asking her questions about the menu she had a condescending tone and when I asked if there were any drink specials she looked at me like I was crazy. You don't know if you don't ask. We later heard her complaining to some of the old boys at the bar about keeping the doors open and how rough it is owning a business right now. I don't know, I've been to plenty of bars and other places that are very successful even during this pandemic. Not...
Read moreA group of us came here after a hike. We saw a lot of the reviews and thought it was a decent place. Upon arriving the older waitress behind the bar (who seems to be mentioned a lot in these reviews and we believe to be the owner) at first seemed nice, however she seemed to get impatient with us. She was insisting we order more than one thing at a time (we were new here and didn't know the menu) and seemed to laugh at us. Because of this, we didn't realize that when ordering an entre, such as a burger, it did not come with fries, and that was a separate 5 DOLLARS on top of an already 12 dollar burger! Granted, the food was decent, but not for 17 dollars. Additionally, there appears to be a hidden 3% charge for credit cards that is not posted anywhere at the restaurant that our friend didn't realize until he got his receipt, and when he was looking at his receipt trying to figure out why the bill was so expensive the waitress scoffed at him as if he was ridiculous. If she treats her CUSTOMERS like this, I can't even imagine how she treats her EMPLOYEES. Overall, would recommend to avoid. Many 5 stars are paid reviews that don't actually show the business in a true light. Won't ever be returning and sad that we went there. You would think a group of 6 paying customers would be...
Read moreMy friends and I decided to eat here after a big hike. And while the food was only average for bar food, the service was really terrible. We were rushed to make our orders and openly laughed at behind the counter as we tried to order our drinks (apparently we were going to slow for the older waitress, who seems to be a reoccurring character in these reviews.) Might I add they were not especially busy and we never have been here before and needed a moment to look over everything. After we ordered, ate, and were paying our tab, we found out that there were several hidden fees we didn't know about when we were rushed to order. One being a credit card fee that wasn't stated anywhere when we went to pay. The older waitress again scoffed and laughed at my friends when they went to pay and generally was an unpleasant person to be around. Another petty thing I didn't like was that fries for a burger were a separate charge, which wasn't disclosed to us while the server pressured us to make an order. Overall, we will never come here again, and i encourage anyone who does go here to keep a close eye on...
