Dawg Pound — Restaurant in Hanover Township

Workers were EXTREMELY RUDE we pulled our tubes over in the middle of a bad storm while going down the river to get into a safe space and purchased around $30 in food. In panic we had asked about walking to the road to be picked up and they said it would be a $5 fee PER PERSON to leave because technically they were not a “ livery” And that if they did it for us to do it for everybody, I understand that logic however it Does not make sense that it was a charge per person. I fear that that is ridiculous. When we did not have cash on us because we were quite literally on the river They charge us in two dollar up charge per person to use Venmo, which is even more ridiculous. It felt almost as if they were taking advantage of us in A vulnerable situation. The employees were extremely rude while explaining it, and I was with a group because I was on my bachelorette trip and have quite honestly never been treated worse by a food service place as somebody who has worked in the food industry That is extremely ridiculous and unacceptable. I think they should train the staff on having some decorum. We were there on the 12th and there was an extremely poor storm so much so that we were packed shorter or shorter, which was understandable and I would like to know why the other customer is standing under that shelter were kinder than the employees, Including they were more helpful than the employees so sad and disappointed to see a small business...

I personally didn’t eat the food, a couple of my friends did, and they didn’t hate it! As for the service I have never in my life been treated poorer. The man I’m assuming calls himself the manager was awful to my entire group. Including up charging our original price we were given just for using Venmo, which is posted as a payment option and does not state there is an upcharge. Would not recommend! Also if you get stuck in a storm and need to be picked up you do in fact have to pay a 5 dollar fee per person to be picked up, or at least we were told until he told me very rudely to use Venmo he’d take 7 dollars a person, which he made up I’m sure. Hope they work on their customer service because...

My family was riding the river when my son cut his foot while exploring the shore. We made it over the Dawg Pound where they were amazing. Getting out boats anchored and even giving us bandages and more. And that is just the service! Food and drinks were just as good. Coney dogs…yes please. Walking taco…great portions.
