Despite its popularity (it's almost always bustling with patrons), we've never been let down by the quality of the food here.

Stepping inside, you might notice that the interior decor feels a bit dated. However, rather than seeing it as a downside, I've come to believe that this 'worn-in' ambiance is what lends the place its unique character. It's as if, with every visit, you're taking a delightful trip back in time.

Now, onto the food - it's nothing short of phenomenal. While the entire menu boasts of delicious options, a special mention has to be made for their tater tots and flatbreads. Each bite is a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. Whenever I'm here, I'm not just a patron; I'm also an eager host, always looking forward to introducing friends and guests to the wonders of River Inn's cuisine.

My husband is trying to convince me not to write another rave review of The River Inn of Hanover because he worries it will encourage more people to eat there and create long wait times. However, they deserve this and more. Not only is the food incredible and something our family, friends, and out-of-town guests always enjoy, but the first-class service and "small town," welcoming atmosphere are amazing. Even if you have to wait for a table, hanging out by the fire pit is sure to bring great conversation with fun people. The entire team there is friendly and genuine; we love chatting with them all. They are very attentive...drinks are refilled before you even realize they're half full. We've had so many things on the menu and buffet and everything has been awesome. Tonight we tried their new seasoned sour cream and WOW! It is the best we've ever had. You get a large serving for $1, much less expensive than at other restaurants and enough that both of us has leftovers for another meal.

Kudos to Jodi and Rick for making River Inn such a wonderful place for our community and for our family to celebrate the end of the school year... and many other occasions...

We enjoyed Mother's Day at River's Inn. I can't imagine the time and skill it took to organize a brunch buffet, but I'm beyond impressed. It wasn't just that the food was great. There were three buffet tables full of amazing food (breakfast, all types of meats, salmon with pico de gallo, fruit, vegetables and desserts). They also did an amazing job with the ambience and decor. And they had pots of flowers for every mom! And a raffle for moms for a chance to win a big potted planter. Moms also got a free drink. Although I don't drink, I was able to choose any non alcoholic drink. I got a raspberry lemonade, along with my soda water with lime. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very attentive, very organized. A happy day! If I could give 10 stars, I would. It was like walking thru a garden, felt so relaxed even though it was incredibly busy. You'll have to go for the food and experience!
