Nettie's — Restaurant in Hardinsburg

had dinner with friends at this restaurant last night. I ordered prime rib, and the first plate came out very well done as well as my friend who ordered the same thing. Both plates went back for me, the second platen that came out was over cooked again, but it was incredibly salty. I couldn't eat it. Also, we had ordered cabbage as well as green beans that were so overly salted. We could not eat any of it. One of my friends ordered the meatloaf, and it was very tasty, the mac & cheese that I had was good and not over salted.

The more difficult part of this dining experience is that when I told the waiter that the prime rib was still over done, and extremely salty, they responded very negatively. now I am not one to complain usually, but the food in several aspects was so bad, and I couldn't even eat it.

One of my friends ordered fried shrimp, and it was quite delicious. The staff was just organized, the service was very slow, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. They really need to get it together in the kitchen and be careful of serving food that's so salted, it's really not healthy for people

interestingly, there was a very kind and apologetic staff member who made the waiter come over and apologized to me, I was offered a complementary piece of chocolate cake. But even though with her kindness and consideration about our dining experience, it is not a restaurant that I would never...

First thing you notice is the nice decor. Looks really nice. Took 5 or so min to get a menu. Should have gotten that at sit-down. Came at lunch so the menu was limited. I noticed the table next to me sending food back. The didn't look like they types that would do that...home improvement contractors. Anywho...waiting on my food right now. Oh...the table of contractors said the chicken tenders were raw. Now we know. The owner makes an appearance frequently. I'm introverted so I'm not a fan. Doesn't reflect my score. Took 30 min or so to get my food. Looks nice. People standing around my table to talk to the owner (triggered). Well..here we go. Had the fried chicken breast (special) Over cooked dry...sad. Breading was not crispy. 1.5 out of 10. Had fries and cabbage. Fries were typical crinkle cut. Basic. Cabbage was stellar. Wish I had ordered double. Came wit a corn cake that may have been good if it wasn't burnt on one side. Overall bad experience. 2 to 3 out of 10. I'm sure the owner would make things right but...this is a review. The food should have never came...

So let me start out with the good, the meatloaf was outstanding along with Mac N cheese and cornbread which needed butter. The Shrimp was also fantastic. The cabbage and green beans were VERY salty which we didn't like. None of us could eat it. We are cabbage lovers. Just need to lay off the salt and let people put their own on. Now to the Prime Rib, very salty and had a hard time making to order, which did not happen. Would like to say to the lady in the back “Thank You” who came out to apologize for our service and food and was really trying to make to it right. Our sever said something unexceptable to my friend when her food was incorrect, but later came back and apologized to her. This was our first time eating here and...
