Absolutely delicious! Best day of the week; BLT Thursday!! Best BLT on the planet. Immaculate, friendly, locally owned and operated. Whenever I travel to the area, a visit to the The Dutch Treat is a must. Delicious homemade sandwiches and treats, along with specialty items available in the store. Fresh hot made to order sandwich of the day. Other sandwiches can be ordered, too. Delectable desserts, cakes, pies and other sweet baked goods can also be purchased. My personal favorite is the chocolate chip cookies. My partner's favorite sweet is the peanut butter squares. Regardless of what you choose, everything is scrumptious! Immaculate facilities which includes drive thru service window. Very friendly and efficient service. The Dutch Treat conveniently located on Hwy. 58 in Rose Hill. UPDATE; MARCH 9, 2024: EXTREMELY BUSY! Saturday lunch crowd was large. My partner and I don't like too many people in a confined area. We ordered a Club sandwich and took it go. Excellent sandwich.

The Dutch Treat makes, hands down, the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The service is quick and friendly, and food is always made right. Every meat and cheese at the deli is delicious. If you get lucky and catch the doughnut truck you're in for an even bigger treat. That said, every baked treat I've tried has been superb. The prices are more than reasonable, especially for the quality. I can't rave enough about The Dutch Treat. It's completely worth the trip. Be forewarned, there is only one table to eat at inside on dreary days. However for sunny days there are picnic tables and a gazebo out front.

Loved my first visit. Found items I've searched for unsuccessfully in other bulk food stores. There's a huge selection of items that spans a wide range of items, from candy to knives. A wonderful variety of spices, take your pick in either whole ground or sliced. And the fresh baked goods oh my goodness the baked goods, the old favorites to the seasonal treats! Add in a deli to get meat and cheese, custom made sandwiches and ice cream. It's heaven.

For anyone traveling through the Cumberland Gap, a visit to the Dutch Treat in Rose Hill, Virginia, is an absolute must. This isn't just a place to grab a bite to eat; it's a true experience. Stepping into the Dutch Treat is like entering a little slice of culinary heaven. It's a Mennonite-run country store, deli, and bakery that offers an incredible selection of fresh, high-quality food. The deli is the main attraction, and for good reason. Their sandwiches are legendary. Made to order on thick, homemade bread, they are piled high with generous portions of fresh meats and cheeses. The "Sandwich of the Day" is a constant delight, with the BLT on Thursdays being a local favorite that's worth the trip alone. But the Dutch Treat is so much more than just sandwiches. The bakery section is full of irresistible treats, from cakes and cookies to rich, moist brownies. You'll also find a fantastic variety of homemade goods, like jellies, syrups, and an assortment of delicious cheeses and sliced deli meats available by the pound. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is what makes this place truly special. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always making you feel right at home. It's a place where you can get a glimpse into a different way of life, and the care and craftsmanship that goes into everything they make is clear. It's a local institution that consistently delivers on quality and hospitality. Be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak hours, but trust me, it's...

Now here me out. Do you miss those sandwiches that your mom or dad used to make for you before going to school, or before any of your after school activities? You can't miss this little shop.

From a to-go sandwiched shop but also a little grocery/convenience store. You have it all here.

Go inside, head to the deli, grab a pen and one of the sheets and circle how you'd like your sandwich to be made. It's roughly $4.75 for everything (nothing "extra") from the sandwich to the toppings. After that, place the sheet on the counter and let the employees make it for you.

The store doesn't have any indoor seating you can either eat in your car or in the small little gizibo, although people may be already sitting there so pick fast.

The only flaw would be the area itself has almost 0 data reception and the store have any Wi-Fi. Along with that, the outside area could have more seating...
