Nice little carry out/pizza joint in Galena. They offer beer/pop you can buy as well as a large menu featured homemade Italian wedding soup, some pasta dishes, and pizza.

I ordered a large "thick and chewy" style pepperoni and onion (think pan style) with "a blanket of cheese" (provolone slices layered on top). Also got a medium "tomato on bottom" pizza with mushrooms, a large Italian wedding soup, 6 hot wings, and mozzarella sticks. All of that was $53 which isn't too high of a price.

Both styles of pizza were very good, the thick and chewy pep and onion had a little too much crust, but other than that it had tasty toppings, cheese, and sauce. The tomato on bottom pizza didn't have a sauce per say, it was more garlic/olive oil based and literally had sliced tomato as the base. This pizza was more Ohio style and crispy.

The sides were the main drawback, the mozzarella sticks were terrible and so were the wings.

Overall the pizza is a 4.7, and sides are a 3. The price was reasonable so overall I gave it a 4 stars. Would have been higher if I'd just gotten...

Customer service needs to be revamped. These ladies cannot handle being busy. It's not that it's great pizza because it use to be with the original recipe it's the only pizza shop in town. I ordered a sub over the phone and the person taking the order was rushing me at 7:30p.m. then my friends should up so I called at 8:25 p.m. and no one would answer the phone to take an order I was in the parking lot just wanted to wait and pick up. I called three times! The hours posted it that 9:00 p.m. and they were inside. I understand being stressed but certain workers at Fracassso's are rude and not helpful. It's bad enough our world is already 6ft apart from each other. It's a business and it gives Fracasacos Pizza a bad name because of the employees who don't have to worry about a reputation of course don't stop and think and that's...

I have been going to Fracasso’s for over 40 years and this IS NOT Fracasso’s, just be done with it and change the name to Long Branch. The new owners have came in and changed everything Bob had created. The one placed I loved to eat spaghetti at is now ruined because I think they are using the pizza sauce instead (which has changed as well). All previous owners have kept almost everything the same because that is what everyone knows and now one month, maybe a smidge more, everything has changed. Why would you want to change what has worked for almost 50 years? It’s sad and I don’t know if I will go back. I loved that place and now it’s just a building with the name Fracasso’s on it but it’s not Fracasso’s anymore. I hope you reconsider and change things back, because how it is now, it’s not and I am not the only person to...

Decided to take a little drive today and check out Fracasso's Village Pizza in Galena. This is your typical out in the country pizza place. They have a huge selection of beers and sodas, bottles and cans. Plenty of seating (dozen tables). I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and garlic cheese bread. The pizza was a nice perfectly crisp pizza with a nice smooth sauce, a ton of cheese and nice spicy pepperoni. Definitely was surprised on how good it was. Then there was the Garlic Cheese Bread. OMG!!! You know a lot of places the garlic is way over loaded, this was the perfect amount and again a bunch of cheese that was perfectly cooked. I made the mistake of not taking the dipping sauce. But the bread stood on its own. For sure I will have to return.

New owners, same crappy pizzas. I asked for extra sauce and it is STILL cheese on bread. Am I going to have to ask for my sauce in ounces??? I even spoke to the order taker about the old owners not putting extra sauce (or any by any standard) on it even when you ask for it. And still, cheese on bread. That said, the toppings improved, so I can't dis that. But come on. I don't think they charged me for extra sauce, but I'd rather they did and actually add it. Photos show old pizza (no real toppings on the all the way) and the new pizza shop owners (decent toppings). But these are both extra sauce. Eek. Old review: Easy in, easy out.
