We ordered a three tier wedding cake and a grooms cake from the Bakery. They were great to work with and had affordable rates that fit into our budget. The grooms cake was decorated how I invisioned. The reason I am only giving 2 stars is because I drove all the way there from summerville to give decorations for both the grooms cake and wedding cake and was told both cakes would arrive at the venue completely decorated. We only need to have the cake topper on the table for them to place on the cake. The day of the wedding they dropped off both cakes. The grooms cake was decorated perfectly, however the wedding cake was not. It had none of the decorations I personally delivered to the owner. My son informed me that he was asked where the cake decorations were. My number was on file yet I received no phone call. In fact when I realized what had happened before the wedding started I and another person made several attempts to contact the bakery to find out why they did not use what was given to decorate the cake before delivery. No one answered. I left a detailed message as well. I had to find something to just throw on the cake so it had something minutes before the wedding started. This occurred on 4.20.2024. I called on Monday to speak to the owner and was tols she had left for the day. I informed the lady why inwas calling and she said she would get her to call me on Tuesday. As of today, 4.24.2024 I have yet to receive a call or even have them acknowledge their mistake. I was extremely disappointed and still am. A wedding cake is the centerpiece of a wedding reception and to have a bakery deliver a cake plain as can be and ignore their error is ridiculous. I will not be recommending them for weddings in the future. There food is good but service for weddings not so much. At least from...
Read moreSo lately i have been buying a few items an i must say its a mother an a daughter who works here who are always so welcoming an nice an they always speak to every customer. It seems like every time i come the owner or the ladie who does the cakes if they are sitting or in the lobby they won't speak to save your life. You should speak to everyone who walks in your restaurant. The other day i went in to get a trio salad an im assuiming this lady was the owner she was sitting in the lobby area talking with someone who was eating as well i spoke she didnt speak so i proceeded to pay for my order as always the mother an daughter greets me an are always so nice i took my order an i thought they deserve a tip a hello an good customer service goes a long way i paid with my card an went to the car to get some cash i went back into the resturant an i placed a bill in the daughters pocket who hands were full at the time so the lady who was sitting assuming the manager was getting up an she say i thought you left your back did you get your good already i answered yes i have my food she looked confused as i attempted to give the mother a tip in which she refused the manager looked like whats going on i simply turned around an gave thw remaining bills to her daughter i couldn't leave with out showing my appreciation to them for always being so kind an the true definition of providing excellent customer service i don't think i would have returned an spent my money there again if it wasn't for those two ladies you should treat everyone who walks through your door the same when they are spending money that helps keep your business open if i could give those ladies 5 stars i would the food is good but MANAGEMENT can do better with...
Read moreIn theory, this should be my absolute favorite eatery. The baker is a skilled culinary artist, conveniently situated between cities on a major road. However, the facade is not inviting or very sanitary appealing. This is a uncomfortably cramped location. It seems easier to use the Dollar General parking lot. I am not certain a handicapped person could easily and safely navigate the busy Charleston highway front entrance. The staff's customer service mentality varies tremendously on basic human right's behavior, to baked items being left open aired to dry out even more. The saddest part as a Real local guide is having witnessed the caliber of the quality of food items lessen over visits. Food has been marginalized and reduced instead of prices increased to reflect modern supply and demand rates. The once excellent icings, breads and pastries have lost signature flavor intensity. It is recommended that you call in advance for catering and deal with someone on the phone who cares...
