Ordered a 3 piece tender meal w/ a Diet Coke and blackened ranch in the drive-thru. After I paid, there was going to be a wait for the food, so I was told to pull up to a double door to get my food. The door directly beside the window at the end of the drive-thru (which is where you usually wait for food in drive-thrus) was a single door, and I've never been to this location before so I was really confused about if I was in the right spot or not. Worker in drive-thru gave no indication that I would need to go around the entire building to get there... which makes no sense to me in the first place if there's a door RIGHT there. The guy in the drive-thru directly behind me got his order immediately, and I was embarrassed because by waiting at this door I was blocking him in, and he had to call out to me to move. Once I realized that the door I was told to wait at was on the other side of the building, it had been about 10 minutes which is more than enough time for a combo meal to be made. I had no way of knowing if they've already tried to take my food out there or thrown it away. So I found a parking space and tried to get inside, which took me about 5 minutes because the doors were locked and I felt like I was on a wild goose chase walking around the building to find an open door.
Once I eventually got inside, I waited a couple extra minutes for my food. When it was sent out to me, I had to remind them that I got a Diet Coke with my order - and they handed me a cup. Couldn't they have just... made my drink for me with the soda machine that's back there? Like how it usually goes with drive-thru orders??? And by the time I left, which would've been about 15-20 minutes after I first got there, I realized that they didn't give me the blackened ranch I asked for - and I made sure to ask if they had blackened ranch had when I first ordered too! Thankfully that was the only part of my order that was wrong, but I didn't bother to go back and fix this mistake. I felt like I had made enough of a fool out of myself. At least the food was decent, but it's too little too late at this point. It's not enough to look past the awful service I was given.
I feel really validated reading through other reviews by people who've had bad experiences with this Popeyes, which lets me know that this kind of service isn't just one isolated incident - apparently this is just how their service is! Even though I'll admit that the confusion about the double door was partially on me, all of this could've been avoided if A) I was given clearer directions on where to go to wait for my food, B) if the doors weren't locked, C) if it didn't take them 20 minutes to prepare a basic combo meal, and D) if they had even gotten my order right in the first place. Didn't even come CLOSE to the standard of quality I expect from Popeyes, and I was really upset and embarrassed by this experience.
It's no coincidence that I saw at least 3 workers hanging around outside smoking or taking a phone call while all of this...
Read moreThis has to be not just the worst run Popeyes I’ve ever been to, but likely the worst managed restaurant in the area. Maybe the state. I love Popeyes, but unfortunately had to stop going to this location. The wait times are just atrocious, and the staff are anything but helpful. I gave them several chances to make up for their terribleness, but it just got worse the more I went. Don’t get me wrong, the food, if you can get any, is delicious. I wont go into extreme detail, but here’s how the last two (and final two) visits went. I ordered on the app, when I got to the window, they told me I had to park and come in. Never done that before at this location but ok. I go in, and told them that I had a mobile order and was asked to come in, they all seemed confused and kept telling me “oh __ must have told you to come in”. I said it’s fine, I’ll just wait here. And boy wait I did. After several “sorry, we’re out of chicken” comments, I finally got my order. Took just shy of an hour from the time I ordered. My final time was indeed the final straw. Mobile order again, this time they had me pull around to the side door since, once again, they were out of chicken. I had my two sons with me, and it was hot so I had to keep the car running. They told me it would be about 10 mins for chicken, which was fine. About 15 mins later, someone came out and said it’ll actually be another 15 mins, they were still out. Weird but ok, I’ll wait. Another 20 mins passed and I went inside to see what was up. I had been waiting 45 mins at this point. When I got in, they said they didn’t have any chicken, and in fact it would now be 25 minutes for more!! I kept cool, said I’ve already been waiting for 45 minutes, you said it would be ready almost 30 minutes ago. The person dropped the receipt and said (some name) come deal with your customers. I was confused but just stood there. Eventually the person who had come out to my car came up to me and said “I TOLD you it would be another 15 minutes”, in a very sassy attitude, I just smiled and said yeah that was over a half hour ago. There was no manager that I could tell. A third person came up to the front and told me to request a refund on the app. So I did, and that was that. After an hour, I had no food, and two hungry hot kids in the car. I was shocked, and the line of cars behind me had increased significantly, mind you there’s no parking in the front or sides of the restaurant, you have to park behind and walk up. I’m not sure who runs this restaurant, but whew they need a revamp. Really hope it changes one day because I’d...
Read moreI'm still trying to figure out why this place is still open. I visited this location a few months ago and witnessed several people ask for refunds because after waiting for 30 minutes or more on an order, either they still hadn't received it or it was not prepared as requested. The manager begged one lady for an opportunity to remake it, keep what she had, and get a refund. She told her that she could not keep the sandwich because it has mayonnaise on it and she specifically stated no mayonnaise. She also said that she was not waiting a minute longer for a remake and to just give her a refund. The manager told her that she did not say no mayo on her sandwich and another worker told her that he heard her say no mayo. I had personally waited for 45 minutes but was being compensated for picking up an order. I advised the customer that they should probably shop elsewhere the next time. The time before that, I was picking up an order for a customer and the inside was closed. I was in the drive-thru line for 20 minutes and it had not moved, so I called the store to see what was going on. I asked if they could bring the order out because it had already been paid for. He said that he couldn't because only 2 people were working that day. Today I decided to try the food for myself with no one in the drive-thru line but me. I was told it would be 3 minutes and I said it was fine. I waited 3 minutes at the window and was told to drive around to the other side of the building and they would bring it out. I waited another 10 minutes and then went inside to ask for my order. She said, "Well, you don't want old fries do you? These are all old, so I'm waiting for fresh ones." Meanwhile, the new batch is ready so she SLOWLY takes the old fries out the warmer so she can put the fresh ones there. I'm sure the fresh fries were not dropped as soon as I ordered because they don't take 15 minutes to cook. I understand that good help is truly hard to find these days, but this place is run by managers who don't have a clue and/or don't care, and their employees have the same attitude. Never...
