J & S Pizza — Restaurant in Harrison Township

Very good food but not happy with my order today. I saw they have a grilled chicken salad on the menu but no grilled chicken hoagie so when I called I asked if they could make a grilled chicken hoagie. I was told its not on the menu, we won't make it. Asked if the guy would check with a manager as they have grilled chicken, I just wanted it on a bun not a salad and he said he was the manager but he sounded like a teenager. He said I could order a grilled chicken salad and put it on a bun!!??? Were they going to give me a bun? I was confused and said you can't put it on a bun with some cheese and in the oven??? He said its not on the menu. Ordered something else but didn't understand why this request was such a big deal as all their hoagies are the same price regardless of what meat was on it. I would have even paid extra if they wanted. When picking up my food, I did not see anyone working there that seemed out of high school except one guy working in the kitchen so I didn't say anything. I will be calling this week to speak with a mature individual and find out why this request was an issue and the poor treatment of a customer. Especially now when small businesses are struggling, negative feedback can be a detriment to a business. Went here a few weeks ago and ordered food to go. I bought a quart of wedding soup for my son and when we got home to eat there was not one meatball in there! To make matters worse the soup was sour. It tasted like it had vinegar in it. I called to let them know and they offered to give us a new quart the next time we ordered. I ordered food today and asked if we could have the soup I also asked the girl to make sure there were meatballs and asked if it normally taste's sour before I take it home again. She assured me that last time it was the end of the pot and that it would not taste sour. She then went to tell the cook that we needed a quart of wedding soup and he very loudly and ignorantly said is this for the same lady that complained about it. Got the soup and once again not one meatball in it. The staff is very very rude!! We have been ordering food here for quite some time along with alot of other members in our family but will not be returning. Capri has the same food and better service!! Atleast when you go there your guaranteed a few meatballs...

J&S Pizza Holds a Special Place in my heart. Yes the food is a little different since Vinnie handed it over to his daughter and son in law but it's still one of the best pizzarei places you can eat in my own opinion. Yes, I see some complaints about emloyees holding personal conversations but they are just trying to give each and every customer the best experience possible. In the history of myself and J&S Pizza, you are NOT just a recipt ticket you become family once you give the employees your time and respect. I also see that people are complaining about how the food has changed... but so have prices for the ingredients to make you the food they are doing what they can with how the economy is these days to give you the best quality food for an affordable price.
