Kountry Kupboard — Restaurant in Harrodsburg

Pass this place every time we travel from Middletown to my son's house near Shakertown. They carry a lot of unique items like candies, canned goods, spices, & cheeses, etc that can't be found in the larger grocery stores. We bought 2 different kinds of pies, & thoroughly enjoyed them. Bought the chocolate covered sunflower seeds & the grandkids wouldn't stay out of them until they were gone. We were told some of their products were Amish made. Don't know if that's true or not, but it wouldn't surprise me. Haven't gotten a sandwich there, but several people were in line to get one & 1 guy said he gets them all the time. This past fall, we bought several pumpkins & mums there, which you can probably get a little cheaper elsewhere but they really weren't...

We stop here everytime we come through this area. They have a deli where you can customize a sandwich, which can easily feed two people with the amount of meat on the sandwiches. Sandwiches are well priced. Excellent bakery items such as chess pie, chess bars & Amish handpies. They have a nice selection of bulk foods sold by the pound (such as quinoa, flour, spices, and gummy candies). They also sell honey, jams/jellies and Rada knifes. Staff is super nice! We walked in a couple of minutes before closing, I acknowledged we’d be brief, I’ve been there before. She turned the lights off, I couldn’t see anything. She is the rudest & stupid person I’ve encountered in a while. We was within a minute of exiting. We left our purchase items in a nearby cart and walked out. We was in our car and pulling out 3 minutes after closing. I’m deeply annoyed of her behavior. Their prices here are higher than similar places. I do not recommend...
