Based on the website, I was expecting a bit more upscale but it was still nice. They had a live singer when we were there. It was so loud that we opted to go sit outside so we could actually have a conversation. It was hard for the person taking orders to hear us. Ordered a pizza and some wine and had a really nice evening.

The pizza was very good. The wine wasn't as good as wineries up around Geneva, and actually tasted like it had seltzer mixed in which gave it a carbonated feel to it. It's hard to beat the rich taste of Catawba wines.

It's a really nice facility and would be great for a wedding reception, but I'm not sure we'll be back for a relaxing evening if they continue to blast off-tune singers like they did.

  • UPDATE * After 2 years, we went back to see how things have progressed. The band that was supposed to play didn't show, so it was actually a pleasant evening in the building without having to shout at each other. However, the wines still aren't mature. They're selling it while the yeast is still fermenting, causing the wines to actually seem carbonated. They really need to allow their wines to settle...

I would not recommend this place for a wedding. The owner booked a craft show on the same day leaving all the guests and bride and groom in traffic backed up to 305. He didn’t have any intentions of making it right by giving them a partial refund, or even waiving the deposit. Instead, he offered to give them decorations or just a full refund to go somewhere else (with only 2 months notice, there’s definitely not going be be another venue available). The wedding party was planning on taking pictures outside. We have to weave through many people to get to a spot that seemed less crowded. Shania Twain “I feel like a woman” was being played by a live band outside during their ceremony. AND lastly, we scheduled rehearsal dinner which was incredibly difficult because there were people eating food and drinking wine for a class reunion in the space that we were supposed to practice. That’s all. Their wine and beer and atmosphere is very nice. I just would never recommend booking a wedding there unless you want...

Hartford Hills has been on our to do list ever since moving to Ohio. We're not big drinkers, especially wine, and based on other winery visits in the past, we didn't feel terribly motivated.

What a surprise! The barn is an amazing charming atmosphere and the food, albeit lightweight, tastes amazing. It's also very keen of them to offer a healthy craft beer selection as an alternative.

Everything is order at the bar. Take drinks with you, and place a number placard on your table for food delivery. You can keep open a tab as they physically hold your card, or pay as you go.

We went right at opening (4pm) on a Saturday in August. There were storms on the horizon so all the table reservations were held inside. We were still able to get a nice table as walk ins. Actually it was a perfect table near the stage. Too bad we were way too early for the live music.

There were a couple of large groups celebrating birthdays in the back room by...

5 stars is a tad high but 4 would be much too low. The winery is a large event space. Lots of space inside and out. A stage inside for live music. Acoustics better than expected for what is basically a barn. Clean. Minimal decor. A small drinks and food menu. Our Avacado-spinach dip, cheese plate, pizzas were good. Not "oh my God" good, but good. One pizza can feed 2, but pizza and an appetizer is better. The wine selection is mostly blends. No one said where the wines came from. We ordered a pitcher of sangria (rose and Squirt with no fruit). Far from authentic but tasty. A couple notes. Our GPS tried to take us to the house next door. And signage to the winery is poor. So when you get close, slow down and look around.

It is blessing to have such a wonderful winery in our area! We have been here a handful of times and every single time it has been awesome! We visited last week for my birthday. Flat bread pizza and cheese plate was delicious, the Rockin Randall wine is perfect if you like sweet wine. ( Like me) And best of all after the warm inviting atmosphere, good music, great food and wine- the owner Randy and employee Sharee were so kind and went above and beyond to make our night really special! The beautiful tiramisu was a magical touch!!! Thank you Sharee! You are AMAZING and we will definitely be back! 🙂
