Subway — Restaurant in Hartford

Horrible. There are to many times I’ve gone in here and seen questionable things. Employees sneezing/coughing and not washing hands, WHILE MAKING FOOD. Food safety issues, no hair nets (which leads to hair in food). And children behind the counter/playing in the back...? Overall poor food quality.

I frequented this location a lot until stuff started happening. I’ve had sandwiches toasted to long where when the timer goes off they just open the door and continue making something else, leaving the sandwich in the still very hot oven. This leads to the bread burning/drying out by the time they get back to it. Witnessed employee with no hair net, coughed, and continued making my food without washing hands. I brought this to the attention of subway and was contacted by the owner to which he said it would be reviewed, and that they take food safety seriously. Also said I would get coupons in the mail, which I NEVER did.

Now A few days ago was the last straw. I bought my My girlfriend a salad, she was eating it and found 2 hairs in her salad. Done with Walmart shopping around 7:25 with the wife. Walked into subway around 7:32 ish. The employee was sitting munching on something from the deli. He got up went into the back and immediately put gloves on without washing them and asked about subs we wanted. Complained about customers being there a hour 1/2 to close and wanted to close early. 2-3 Other customers arrived and he said 'Ima lose my marbles' and 'nobody shows up around this time'. After he was done with the 1st sub he complained there was no air conditioning in a dramatic fashion. Wiped his head with paper towel and proceeded to throw on a pair of gloves without washing his hands 1st. He got the bread wrong, was dramatic and wasn't friendly tords customers. Complained that the ici machine was to loud. Its obvious that he does not care about his job nor the people around him. I haven't had a bad experience at a subway until today and I will not be coming back to that one in...

The new wraps are delicious.....EVERYWHERE ELSE! I went in and ordereded a wrap that I have had at many other Subways. She grabbed the wrong wrap and tried arguing with me that I was wrong when their sign clearly showed it was not the same and when I pulled the menu up she said each subway is diffferent......REALLY?! Then she could not wrap it at all. It turned into this awkward looking square blob I could not even eat. She knew it was terrible to cause she half smiled and said she put a fork in the bag.
