Huddle House — Restaurant in Hartselle

265 people at Hartsville location signed a petition to allow smoking there or loose their business and never return. Probably your business will loose from 30 to 50 percent of business. I know from me about 100 dollars a week and the others the same. That adds up to 2,665.00 dollars a week, or 10,660 for 4 weeks or per month of the customers that signed the petition and there are probably alot more people that never saw the petition to continue to have smoking or loose their business! Hartselle allows smoking in restaurants here. That's why we go there! The food there is average. Sometimes bad but since smoking there is allowed we sometimes tolerate it other than to go to Cracker Barrell across the street which has a much bigger menu and healthy food for about the same price. Smoking restaurants here will be more than glad to take or money if you don't want it! That's alot of money to loose! For this location you will not gain and probably end up having to close it or pay for losses until it closes. Once this happens Huddle House will look like a abanded resturant because, in Hartselle we allow smoking. We the people here should have that right as it has...

We hadn't been there in a couple years, so decided to try again.

I ordered a pick-up order online. Paid for it.

My husband goes to pick it up. Gives them my name. They ask him to pay for it. He tells them it's already been paid for. They argue with him then ask him, "Are you sure you're (insert my name)? We've had problems with people stealing food." He says, "It's my wife!"

Then he gets home with the food... Bacon is both burnt black AND raw (not sure how that's physically possible). Waffle looks like it's already been chewed. Literally. Didn't even resemble a waffle and is wadded up into a ball. Eggs were supposed to be over medium and one was cooked hard and crispy...other the white was still raw. Hashbrowns were burnt on the outside and cold in the middle. They put the biscuits and gravy in the bag sideways and it leaked out all over everything. They left out part of our order.

It's so sad that we can't have a decent experience even when we do a pick up order that's prepaid. Nothing but attitude, accusing someone of lying and stealing, and burnt/raw mess of food.

Was there yesterday morning and my husband's food wasn't cooked correctly so we sent it back. The waitress training and and her trainer were more than happy to fix it the cook on the other hand was so disrespectful. He not only was arguing with them about fixing our food but then he decided to argue with me when I approached him about what he was saying and showed him the menu to show him where he was wrong. He got very loud and disrespectful to me as well. I have worked 20yrs in the food industry and I have never in my life been treated like he treated his co workers and nor have I seen such disrespect for a paying customer. We will never be back. What's sad is we live in town and have breakfast frequently. I don't suggest this...
