This is an awesome place for home cooked southern staples in a relaxed friendly environment. My husband and I went here for dinner on a night they had a massive steak selection. The food was so well seasoned and it was an extremely comfortable atmosphere. Lately my husband and I have preferred to just cook a good steak at home because they have all been extremely disappointing when going to a restaurant. This was not the case at Farmers Harvest. They are open Thursdays-Saturdays for lunch and dinner. The menu regularly changes based on what is in season and available and can be found on their social media. We ate so much in terms of the appetizer platter and our meals that we didn’t try any of the home made deserts but we will definitely come back to do so and we will probably get a scoop of the Shop Springs Creamery ice cream that they stock as well.

It was very busy when we visited, and we could see why. The food is truly farm fresh and prepared exactly as asked for. The wait is a little long but understandable as everything is done as you wait. The atmosphere is informal, the waiters are friendly, and attentive. It's true country cuisine. The chicken sandwich was filled with shredded chicken, nuts, and berries with thick, rich mayo on a crescent roll. They are worth visiting just for their chunky fries. The steak for two was cooked to perfection. Farmers Harvest also boasts homemade desserts, and sugar cones topped with creamy ice cream. We will definitely be returning.

The menus need a little refresh and update. They have stickers on them that say prices are 30% more than listed. The burgers were tender and juicy. A little on the smaller side for a $10 burger. Everything is al a cart which increases the prices even more. The fries are fried in vegetable oil which tastes like they have not changed in in years. It has a strong resemblance of the shrimp and fish fry. Very disappointing. The ice cream is fairly basic. Made by a local creamery but nothing special. Note- the one scoop is not worth it. It’s a smaller size scoop then they use for the two scoop. Just use the same size scoop.

The food is good, and the staff is friendly. However, what they do not make conspicuous is their fees. When I was brought the bill, I gave my card not thinking I would be assessed inconspicuous (hidden) fees for large party, card fee, and take-out fee. They consider a large party to be 5 or more people. When you have three kids, you already his their large party trigger and are assessed an additional 20% to the bill. If you use any take home boxes, they also charge you an additional $2.00. And, if you pay by card, they add an additional 3%. They do not say anything to you about these fees, I did not see any signs posted anywhere about it, and they are nice enough to return your receipt to you folded by quarters so unless you unfold it twice you do not see these extra charges. We thought the service was fantastic so we left the young lady a $40 tip and she took it with gratitude, but to be honest, if I knew I was going to have a mandatory ~$40 charge for a large party anyways, I would have not gave the extra cash tip. She just made $80 dollars off us...I guess that's why she was smiling. Even though the food was good, the atmosphere was ok for a small diner, I will not be back and do not recommend them because they tack on all these hidden charges and don't say anything to you about it. I know the swipe fee has become somewhat normal for small businesses, but as a former business owner myself that was small and grew large, the swipe fees are tax deductible on the business tax returns, so they are essentially gaining twice the amount. I am still debating to file a complaint against them to the county and state for the...

First time, and my impression on just my meal & cost for what you get. 3 stars based on an almost $40 dinner - bone-in 18 oz rib eye steak, that was more fat than meat, and not your typical marble. The seasoning was good though, and cooked how I asked. Side was small baked potato that had tiny bits of bacon (the kind that comes in a bag at a store), dab of butter & sour cream. Also a salad that consist of shredded iceberg lettuce, a few diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and store bought mini croutons. I expected to pay the cost for a steak dinner, but much improvements is needed on the cut & sides for the cost. Also ordered an additional side salad since meal was to be shared. For $5, add some cucumbers, and leafy spring greens - get rid of that shredded iceber. One more thing I want to add. The chicken salad sandwich was good (according to my daughter), but if it's nearly $3 to have sweet potato fries, instead of potato chips - give more than just a handful. Most likely be back again to give it another try, but now we know what we get for the cost (quantity & quality) and what to...

We were here during a fairly busy lunch. My burger came out like a literal hockey puck. In all fairness the kitchen was probably a little overwhelmed, but even the seasoning was entirely missing too (it didn't even have any salt) so when the waitress offered to have it remade, I declined and just sent it back instead; It was that bad. What's even more interesting is that they apparently raise their own beef. I couldn't believe they let their own beef come out of the kitchen like that. I would have left it at that, and we had a party of 5, so it was only one of the 5 meals that was a problem, but after paying and doing the mental math (they use handheld pay stations and I did not give me a receipt) I realized we were still charged for that burger! That's where this review comes in. I don't like to leave bad reviews, but this one was appropriate. That was pretty poor treatment of a customer in...
