Grotto Pizza & the Grand Slam Sports Bar — Restaurant in Harveys Lake

I placed the order online . It was for three people, two can’t have hot sauce on their chicken, so I specifically put for the hot sauce to be on the side . I ordered the boneless chicken bites as well as extra crispy chicken wingsthis way. Unfortunately, the wings were not anywhere near extra crispy. They weren’t even crispy , even more disappointing was that the sauce was not on the side of either the boneless chicken bites or the Wings. So 2/3 of the people couldn’t enjoy the full meal that was ordered. The other items ordered were Eager a large pie and a junior pie. The junior pie was for my seven-year-old granddaughter, and it was well overdone. The crust was too tough for her to chew it, and it was visibly overdone on the top as well. The large Was mediocre at best, of course opinions may have been swayed by the rest of the meal being inedible for 2/3 of the people that it was intended. The crust was extremely tough. The rest of it was just OK. Nothing really wrong with it. Nothing special about it. Grotto certainly did not live up to the hype. I have ordered food from the Grotto Harveys Lakes off and on since I was a teenager and I’m Now pushing 60. This was by far hands-down, the worst experienceI’ve had with this restaurant. It will be the last experience I have with this restaurant . 65$ is a lot for Food not made to order. The directions were simple they should not have been that difficult to follow . I Do not recommend this restaurant to anybody wanting any sort of Special instruction for their meal preparation. Lastly the fact that tips are expected for Take out and as a consumer I was confronted with tipping twice before being given my food (once when i ordered online and if you don’t give a tip then, they’re having you sign when you go in and your confronted with a tip request again at that point. ) they’re getting 15 to 25% of the cost of your meal for handing you a couple boxes. 6 to 10$ is a lot for 5 seconds of serving me they’ll prepared food that I haven’t even gotten a chance to look at to see if the order was correct before giving them their tip. Yes, the Grotto has Permanently left a bad taste...

It was the server's first day, so I'll cut her a little slack. However, she did make several errors and left them uncorrected. Switched sodas of people at the table and brought out the wrong pizza. The place wasn't even busy. The food was good and the atmosphere was great but that server needs to take a pen and paper with her next time! Second time we went, we sat at the bar. Not the best service despite being slow. They definitely need more bartenders to work the whole bar. Food was decent. Most recent visit: we started at the bar. This bartender was better but kept screwing up my boyfriend's beer order. We got hot wing dip, paid our tab, then went to a table. Service was HORRIBLE. We practically had to beg for a server to pay attention to us, and she took forever to get us simple drinks. I understand there was a party going on outside on the patio, but there was plenty of staff walking by, acting as if they couldn't even see us. The food was pretty good, but the band was deafening. We moved from the bar to escape the band and still had a hard time hearing each other. We knew some other people there, said hi, then they left as we were eating, stating they couldn't get service at all despite moving tables to be seen better by the staff. Being a sports bar, you'd expect to have the football games on one of the many TVs, but we had the hardest time getting them up after asking politely for over an hour before the games even started. Very disappointing. I wouldn't recommend going and prefer not to go back myself. Next time, if I go, I will just order take...

😠I'm. afraid to say it but, I believe you are taken advantage of customers by charging $10.45 for 6 wings, which is outrageous and selfish to say the least. After the pricing shock I went to a grocery store near you and noticed wings were going for $39.95 for ten pounds of wings (fthings or YOUR 24 WINGS IT WOULD COST AROUND $43.00 . Does that put it in perspective?😠 I didn't purchase your wings, but I must tell you...the Waitress Ariana was fantastic.

😠After a follow up visit, I see the price came down to about $9.00 for 6 wings......but why are they listed under,"market price"? Is there a market price? .......or is this your idea of warning the customer that the price is sky high. Furthermore, go to any food store and you will find a whole cooked chicken for around $7,00, with wings (4). Shouldn't you get real with this blown up price.

Lastly, we will not return to your restraunt ever again, not just because of the poor service, the high wing price, but because you serve pizza crust that reminds me of cardboard, that's hard to cut with a knife. Now I'm done😠

I went here tonight thinking things have changed , but no. First we got hit with, "we have to charge extra for flat wings", which is unfair and outrageous. Then the Maryland crab soup didn't have any crab, in fact a forensic pathologist couldn't find crab in your soup. Again, totally ...
