Lakeside Skillet — Restaurant in Harveys Lake

Horrible! Waited over 45 minutes to be served. It was a Thursday morning so it was not very busy. they did get a table of 12 a half an hour after we had already been sitting there and still had yet to be served. We spent our 45 minutes listening to the staff arguing with each other back and forth. I ordered eggs over easy, home fries with onions... The eggs were almost hard boiled and the onions in the home fries were so black I wasn't even sure they were onions. My husband ordered a skillet meal, creamed chipped beef with over easy eggs... It came out separately and not in a skillet. The whole point is to have the eggs on top but those eggs were also way overcooked. A half hour into our meal we were looking to get more coffee but our waitress was nowhere to be found. we stopped at another waitress who had a pot of coffee in her hands and was waiting on her customers and asked her for more coffee she turned around and said I'll go tell your waitress you need some. It was a horrible experience the food was disgusting definitely not a place I would go back to or recommend to anyone. I actually wish Google had an option to...

Today stopping out at the Lakeside Skillet I walked in and was greeted with a smile by one of the servers. Me pet peeve is you have to, or I should say should feel welcomed into the establishment you're going to, Today I felt welcomed, I was told I can find a seat of my choice, so I picked the same booth I sat in years ago when our, my co-host at the time and I sat. I ordered for my breakfast treat "the dockmate". This was your choice of egg, I did sunny side up, toast, I chose white, choice of meat, sausage was my choice, (FYI they were the links), with a side of their home fried potatoes with onions and peppers. Everything tasted fantastic, the toast not burnt, not under toasted, for me just perfect. The "dippy" eggs went very well with that toast. The potatoes were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, the onions and peppers were diced and mixed together well. My sausage had that "snap", from how it looked I think they were fried, could be wrong though. You all have to check this place out if you have not done so already. Until next review be blessed...

We Had a very disappointing experience here! When entering it seemed to be ok until we tried to order drinks our server informed us that herself and her coworker were both new and it was their first day! Drinks were horrible also it took 30 min to receive them !!!! My wife found a hair in her French fries and another on her plate. After all these complaints are bill came and nothing was taking off. I asked my server if I could speak with the manager At that point the manager came over and said that I upset her server and that she was in there crying and it was her 1st day the manager also went on to say that she was out A few hours and had left 2 new employees they're on their 1st day to run the place!!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Ps it bothered me more that the manager ( owner i think) was rude to me when she was at fault for leaving new employees to run her...
