Cafe 1823 — Restaurant in Hatillo

Three of us went there for breakfast on a weekday. We had to wait about 10 min to place our order. After about 15 more minutes our coffees were brought to our table. We waited about 40 minutes before we inquired about our breakfast and were told that they were busy and they hadn’t started on our order yet. We told the manager that it was not acceptable to have to wait almost an hour for breakfast. We offered to pay for our coffees and told her to forget about our order because we were leaving. The manager didn’t charged us and apologized. Her excuse was that they were busy. I explained to her that she should’ve mentioned that to us when we came in. Instead we wasted almost an hour in there to be told that our our breakfast was going to take longer. We will never go back to this place. Horrible service and the wait time insane long. One of the best brunch spots I’ve been to in a long time! The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and fast. We were asked for our order quickly, and the food came out just as fast, which was such a pleasant surprise. Everything we ordered was delicious, with high-quality ingredients and a diverse selection to choose from. The drinks were also excellent, and I really appreciated that everything felt fairly priced.
