Asian Express — Restaurant in Hattiesburg

The food was what you expect from an express Chinese restaurant. Not great, but not bad either. Why none of these places can figure out what spicy means is beyond me. When I asked if they used real Sichuan peppercorns in the Szechuan beef they couldn't answer, so I ordered Hunan beef instead. When I got home and tasted the Hunan beef I got a bottle of red cayenne pepper and gave it a good sprinkling. Both Szechuan and Hunan beef have the little red pepper on the menu beside the selection. Seriously, what they call Hunan beef would get them laughed out of the Hunan Province. The rest of the meal was as indicated, about average. For the 4 of us I got Wonton soup for my wife and adult daughter, chicken nuggets with fries for my granddaughter, Hunan beef for me, egg rolls for my wife and daughter, and a large pork fried rice for the grownups. If I'm hungry and in the area I may eat there again, though I won't go out of my way for their food. I do have to give them 5 stars for their speed, I ordered at the counter and was walking out with our food less than 10...

Idk about the inside I Always use the drive thru window! 💞 They have one. Makes it So much more convenient. The food is hands down the BEST I've had in Hattiesburg. Id go as far as saying in several counties! Always Fresh. Veggies are Fresh. Crisp. Brightly, naturally colored. Chicken fried rice Actually has chicken in it. Chunks of chicken in fact! Always tastes like it was made to order. & The portion sizes are Well worth the cost. Everything is fairly, affordably priced! No I do Not work there Nor do I know anyone that does or that has any connection to there other than a customer. I refer Everyone there! Have Never Ever been disappointed! I placed an in-person order at their window. I was asked to pull to the front and wait on my order and that someone would bring it out to me. I waited for over 20mins for my order. Finally, I got out of my car in the pouring rain and went inside to check on my order. I found 3 young men/boys laughing and talking. I asked about my order. It was literally sitting on the counter getting cold. I asked why wasn't it brought out to me like they said. The boy responded "oh, we forgot." There was no apology or anything. I took my food (I had already paid) and as I walked out I heard the boys laughing. Such a rude experience. I will never return or recommend this place to anyone. And yes, my food...
