Daisy Jo's — Restaurant in Haven

It was tough rating Daisy Jo’s wishing I could have given a better review… but the appearance of this placed failed miserably in my opinion! It only takes 20 min a day but this place needs a deep cleaning. It would improve everyone’s desire to stop in and even hang out instead of opting for take out! The food in the front beverage cooler was not dated per KDHE requirements but it was fresh.

The cook and the gal that rang us up were very nice… the food was good, but the thought of how dirty everything else was sent our minds wondering how the kitchen was maintained.

My review is in hopes that the owner makes a serious change to clean up the front of the house ( back too if needed) to improve the appearance of this restaurant before people just quit coming!

Immediately needs attention: the front door inside and out, the ice cream case inside and out, the floor needs a elbow grease with degreaser (our shoes were literally stuck to it) the soda machine, the register and signature pad! We will stop in again soon to see how you all are improving! Best...

Quite possibly one of the best hand-smashed hamburgers in Kansas. Meat was ample, cooked to a perfect medium-well, the toppings were not chintzy like some places, plenty of lettuce and tomato. Home cut fries were good, maybe a but overdone, but not greasy in the least. Atmosphere is "quaint" old hamburger-soda-shop style. We were too full to enjoy their ice cream treats, but will do so next time. Counter service was very friendly and burgers are cooked to order, but it was reasonably quick. This small diner was so dirty when I walked in, the door was filthy I did not want to touch it. There was iced tea spilled on the counter that has been there so long it was dried. The Pepsi machine was filthy and there was gross things floating in the tray. The tables all had a greasy film on them and most of the paper towel holders were empty?!? I asked the young man that took my order WHY he said they were out of all their cleaning supplies!!! I will not go...
