My husband took our 4 boys out for a father/son day, so I decided to take my daughter out for a late breakfast. We ended up at a restaurant that’s been on my radar for awhile, Roasted coffee bar in Haverhill (181 Groveland St).. and I’m so happy with our choice!

It’s a small spot tucked in a residential area, parking at the restaurant is limited but plenty of on street parking. It’s bigger inside than I expected though, with several tables along with some comfy looking armchairs. Very cozy atmosphere with plants and other pretty decor. Spotlessly clean as well.

They offer a variety of creative sandwiches, toasts, waffles, salads, and wraps along with all sorts of coffee and tea based drinks. They also offer some bakery items: in the case today we saw cinnamon rolls, coffee cake and cookies

I opted to “make my own” and I chose buttermilk fried chicken with bacon, pickles and whole grain mustard on a homemade biscuit. My daughter ordered one of their specialty sandwiches called “Spice Of Life” which is Buttermilk fried chicken, maple-sriracha syrup, cheddar cheese, bacon and house-made pickles.. she also got hers on a biscuit.

Everything was absolutely delicious! We both agreed that these were the best biscuits we’ve ever gotten in any restaurant we’ve ever been to. Flaky and buttery.. they melt in your mouth.. I could eat a plate of those plain and be perfectly happy! But the chicken was also fantastic..juicy and tender, super crispy and flavorful crust. The bacon they use is excellent.. very smoky flavor. Their (House-made) pickles are a bit sweeter than standard pickles but still very good. These are hefty sandwiches too. They don’t skimp on portions at all. Prices are between $10.00 and $14.00 each which I feel is perfectly reasonable considering both the quality and the sheer amount of food they give you.

For drinks I got an iced latte with skim milk and caramel, my daughter got an iced matcha latte with almond milk and vanilla syrup. Drinks were great, coffee had a nice robust fresh roasted flavor. My daughter said the quality of the matcha they use is very good.

The staff was super friendly, and the service was quick. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Lots of ppl were coming in to get take out too (you can order online via “spot on” seamless, grubhub and Uber eats). They are open 7 days a week from 7am until 2pm.

Great food, great staff, great restaurant! Highly recommend you...

After a long day of visiting clients, we were starving. I had been here once before so suggested it before we headed home. This second trip was even better than the first! The gentleman at the counter offered some recommendations when he saw our blank stares at the large menu. We took him up on it!

I was starving and go the avocado bowl. This dish is massive! I was only able to 1/2 and took the rest home. The potatoes were cooked perfectly. It’s super common to get potatoes at a breakfast joint and have them overcooked, crunchy and empty inside. Not the case here! They were FRESHLY cooked, even and nice and fluffy inside still. The pickled onions were heavenly and the eggs were also very evenly cooked. 10 out of 10 on this meal for me.

My friend got the Tortilla Soup with nice portion of fresh avocado and dice onion on top. I’m pretty sure that was devoured in 5 minutes.

We each got a latte as well. Service was excellent.

The atmosphere is cute and very clean. We never felt rushed despite showing in an hour before closing. It was a cool, dark and rainy day so I’m sure they were ready to head out just like we were ready to get home. Really appreciate the genuine hospitality. That is not always the case!

This restaurant is now fixed in my brain and I’ll remember to swing by here whenever I’m in the area. As a small business owner myself, I always choose small and local and this place...

Updating an old review that had no details. This place is one of the best coffee shops/cafes in the region.

Food: So far everything I've had here is amazing. Specifically, the biscuits are on another level. You won't find anything like them anywhere. As a "toast" with different toppings, as a breakfast sandwich or as their version of French toast. The biscuits are huge and good.

Other food is great also. The strawberry and cream waffles! The chicken bacon ranch wrap and fries! You can't go wrong with whatever you get off the menu.

The coffee is solid too. Baristas are well trained and clearly understand what a good latte should be.

The vibe is good also. Just enough seats that you SHOULD be able to find a place to sit if you come most times. During a rush you may not. A few 4 top tables, one 6 top "community" high top table and a few single lounge chairs. For relaxing with a book or a chat.

The staff is really nice also. Mike, the man in charge of it all, is great. Really friendly and cares about this place. He knows how to bring a good team together.

Don't miss Roasted. It's worth a...

I almost don’t want to write this review because I want this place to remain a somewhat hidden gem of Haverhill. Absolutely incredible food. Nearly every time (as you can see) I get the chicken and waffles and it’s absolutely perfect. All the other food that I have tried is incredible as well. From the wings, to the farmhouse sandwich, to the Brusselin toast, it’s perfect! In addition, the coffee is also perfect. I myself am a barista and I always look for several aspects in terms of coffee. Taste, brand, and production. It tastes amazing, great equipment and training, they use the same brand as my coffee shop so yes it’s great, and it is made fast and properly. Clearly they know what they’re doing. The service is also great. Always kind, sweet, engaging, and conversational. You know it’s good service when the workers like working with each other and that’s what I see every time. 10/5, beautiful, perfect, amazing. Please go there!

I’ve had this saved for a while on my Google maps. On our way to Maine, I finally decided we gotta stop. 100% an awesome choice. We got the Land of Honey (chicken, honey, and pickles) and a custom sandwich. The biscuits are unlike any I’ve had before, and being from Mississippi and making them 2-3 times a week I know biscuits. These were HUGE, soft on inside but didn’t fall apart as I picked it up quickly slammed it down. Next time I know I need to try a chicken, biscuit, and gravy. To compare, my favorite breakfast place in the world is BBB of Oxford, MS and Denver Biscuit Company of Denver, CO. This place is now in those ranks. We also had coffee, solid make and hand crafted. The price is well worth the bites and I dare someone to drive out of their way here and not like it.
