Porch Public House — Restaurant in Hayden Lake

I tend to eat here every once in a blue moon and the food is pretty good every once in a while on the moon burger, the onions are hard almost like they cooked the outer layer, but that’s only happened to me Once the only reason I’m posting right now is because I have realized that the burgers/food in general has gone up a lot in price which I mean, I get it but I was eating there tonight with my brother and they forgot three of our grilled cheese cause I guess she didn’t hear that we wanted four grilled cheese and not just one and then proceeded to take over 10 minutes to get our drinks and then it took around 20- 30 minutes to get our food And when I did, my burger was pink he got one grilled cheese and they didn’t come and check on us very much so we were sitting there with empty drinks for about 20 to 30 minutes. And I think she caught on that you know we were irritated because we were sitting there for a super long time between drink and food and stuff like that and it came over and finally refilled our drinks and then we asked her for three more grilled cheese and she came back with his sprite. Forgot my water never gave me my water lol. We got here at around 7:21 and it’s now 830 and we just wanted to go in for a quick bite to eat then go But yeah, just pretty crazy and the grilled cheese is usually not very warm. But yeah in my end I guess I should say that I want my burger well done but it’s usually always well done. It’s never pink or never has pink in it and I’ve never really had a big problem with service of course when it’s busy, it’ll be slow, but by the time it was getting empty, it still didn’t pace up faster.://...

The FOOD is always AMAZING & superbly FRESH ,they receive Daily ,locally Harvested deliveries. I Really Like their Menu rotations and their specials which go fast! I'm a picky eater but discovered rather fast how things I would never think of taking a "test bite" let alone order,that I had been missing out on some Phenomenal FOOD ♡ they have SPECIALS for limited times so I'd definitely call or ask while there. The SERVICE is VERY IMPECCABLE and PERFECTLY timed (but without that feeling of being hovered over or watched). I honestly don't know how they manage to make everyone so very happy, as most often then not there isn't an open seat every table/inside & out including the bar, but they do♡ It's definitely worth the wait. You can also order TO-GO which I order knowing it's being made exactly as if I were eating in ,PREPARED from SCRATCH .

I especially♡ love DINNING OUTSIDE on their large deck & their surprisingly COMFORTABLE SEATING. In the warm seasons, you can DINE & WATCH the BEAUTIFUL whitetail DEER less than 20-30ft away & watching the NEW MOMMA DEER with their WHITE SPOTTED BABIES and huge brown eyes, Awkwardly trying to stay Standing ♡precious and there's usually more than one

The Porch is conveniently located across from the AVONDALE GOLF COURSE and to It's south the HAYDEN LAKE GOLF COURSE, less than a couple minutes away (depending upon your foot on the peddle) by golf cart which are not just allowed on the roadway and parking for them in the Porch Public House but...

A Warm and Friendly Pub Experience

I recently visited The Porch and had an overall delightful experience. The ambiance of the pub is cozy and inviting, with warmly lit cabin-style decor and classic pub furniture that sets a comfortable tone for a casual evening out.

Our waitress was a highlight of the evening, always on her toes with a great sense of humor. Her friendly demeanor added to the welcoming atmosphere, making our visit enjoyable from the start.

We ordered the classic Rueben sandwich with salt and vinegar chips. The sandwich was flavorful, but my only gripe was that the bread wasn't toasted, leading to some sogginess. The tip here is to savor it quickly! My girlfriend opted for the cranberry salad, a delightful blend of ingredients that she described as amazing. I can vouch for its goodness, as I happily finished what she couldn't.

We also tried the regular potato chips, which, despite unanimous agreement at our table that they were a bit too salty, somehow disappeared quickly.

While the food we sampled was good, it didn't quite reach spectacular heights, especially considering the price, which felt a tad high for the overall quality.
