When I walked into Chomper Cafe there was a male employee behind the counter. We made eye contact and I was promptly ignored. So, having been so warmly greeted with silence and a turned back, I decided to seat myself at the counter. I continued to sit, ignored, as three other groups of patrons came and waited to be seated. Meanwhile, the guy that originally ignored me was still in the same spot ignoring me. I then noticed the sign informing me to sign up on the wait list which was hanging on the side of the counter. So I did. Two of the three other groups of costumers that arrived after me were seated, without signing the list, before the third guest graciously told the waitress that was about to seat him that I had been waiting there before them. She was pleasant and quickly greeted me with a smile and a swift procurement of coffee. After that point, the service was fair, even pleasant, however, that did not make up for the next problem I had. The food. The coffee was biting and acrid. Not unlike the cheap swill one would find late in the day on a courtesy counter at a mechanic's shop. I ordered the omelette which had smoked salmon in it. My meal arrived. I was dissapointed. The serving size was unfulfilling and the eggs in the small omelette were barely cooked. The only reason I'm giving one star, instead of zero, to this place is because the waitress that ended up serving me was very pleasant. Other than that, this...
Read moreVisited today for first (and last) time. A group of 4 friends met for breakfast at 10:15, so we would be between breakfast and lunch rush. We ordered, then waited for 30+ minutes for food while cafe not very busy. Our food arrived cold. I personally ordered a "May Special" of pulled pork green Chile eggs Benedict. NOT only was it cold, but the poached eggs were so overcooked that they resembled hard boiled eggs, and inedible. Left them on the plate. I was looking forward to green chiles but only found 10 small squares of canned green chiles lumped in between the two cold, soggy English muffins. The hash browns were cold, mushy and oily. The pulled pork was dry, and some shreds were so dry they were crunchy. It was so dry it was hard to chew and swallow. This was followed by the bill. We always get seperate checks... and all 4 checks had an added "convenience fee" added. We all paid cash, so I'm assuming this "fee" was to cover actually having our bills brought to our table? I've never been this disappointed as far back as I can remember. Absolutely do NOT recommend this cafe. If it's any help, I've never given a bad review before. But this experience was beyond a waste of...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst dining experience . We waited over 30 mins to just be acknowledged at our table , asked a passing server if it was possible to get our order in and denied, sever came back another 15 mins later and said she would order for our server, and an hour into being here still waiting on our food, we still don’t know who the server at our table is suppose to be, empty water glasses for the last 45 minutes and people who have sat way after us already have their food. What a waste of time. We drove out here from Spokane . Will definitely let friends and family know to avoid this restaurant. Note to add after visit: was sat at 1122. Received food at 1240, left by 1pm. No apologies for wait time , only interaction with our server was when our food was plopped down in front of us over an hour after being seated. Food was lukewarm and bland at best . Horrible experience. Please don’t waste your time and money on this place . The state of the restaurant booths with the deep cracks and stuffing coming out is a direct reflection of how much the staff cares about customer service . (I was a server for 13 years , I do understand off days and busy times but this was...
