Monte's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Hayes Township

I've been coming here since I was a kid and it's still next level exceptional. The whole tomatoes and mushrooms in the sauce are delectable. The fresh bread is such a treat. Everything is made with care and they treat you kindly. I'm vegan and they'll make things without cheese for me or customize options. Their pizza (when I ate cheese still) was the best I've ever had in my life and reportedly still is. I've done cheese less and it's still just as good, their crust is pillowy soft and flavorful. I'm sad they are only carryout now but covid hurt a lot of family run businesses so I get it. Highly recommend! For vegans/lactose intolerant you can go to Family Fare and get dairy free...

It was the the worst dining experience I've ever experienced. The waitress was rude. Every question I asked was answered with rolled eyes and attitude. She dropped my plate in front of me and it was like she tried to run away. I had to ask another waitress to get me ranch for my sampler platter. She never asked "how is your dinner?" I finally asked another waitress for a refill on my drink and she brought it back with no ice and it was warm. I will never return and would recommend others to go...

Our 3rd visit ever was Tuesday this week. Was not at all as as anticipated. Wife ordered special chicken Alfredo ($11.00). Quite slow from kitchen. Salad had rotten & discolored lettuce, cup of chicken soup was barely warm, the Alfredo (all of it) went in trash went we got home. My Steak sub was fair would not try again. Took a loaf of your white bread home which was not fresh. All this (meal only) with 2 cokes $28.00. Bread $5.00....
