Came here this morning for breakfast from Tennessee. Waited a little long for our food, but it was cooked fresh so worth the wait. Love the small town diner feel. I got the Spanish omelette with no bacon. It was delicious. Also came with 2 biscuits and a big bowl of gravy. Biscuits were hot, soft and fresh. Gravy was excessively salty. My boyfriend got a breakfast plate with 2 eggs over medium, a huge plate of home fries, 2 sausage patties, 2 biscuits, a big bowl of gravy and an even bigger bowl of grits and an endless cup of coffee. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. The grits would be much better if made with milk but I understand water is way more cost effective than milk. Our total was around $18. Read moreThis hidden gem is one of the best home cooking restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of dining in; really....I couldn't have done it better myself! The service was excellent, the food arrived quickly and was smoking hot, appropriately seasoned, and delicious, and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable. Places like this are few and far between these days and my husband and I have lunch there whenever we're anywhere near it. I had the pork tenderloin with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and cooked apples and everything was perfection. My husband had the hamburger steak with white beans, fried okra, and mashed potatoes and gravy. He said the white beans were the best he's ever had, and the man loves his white beans, so that's a pretty high compliment. If you're in the neighborhood, stop in for an amazing meal- you...
Read moreI stopped with my daughter at this blue and white diner, I am so glad we did! Ordered the chicken with cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans w/ ham, crispy hush puppies with a velvety soft & steamy center, and fried okra. My daughter decided to skip any semblance of vegetables and got 3 HUGE pieces of chicken breasts, fries and onion rings. The food was SO HOT and fresh, and everything was really good. My preference is green beans without sugar, but other than that, this hit the spot on a cold day. Service was fast and super friendly. I just wish I lived closer so I could eat there again. 10/10 God bless!
Edit to add: They must have some really good chili, because two separate men came in after me, and I heard them order it, and the waitress told him it was not the soup for the week, and they were...
